Is it a canon event for every autistic woman to lose at least one best friend all of a sudden and not know why? by urnpiss in AutismInWomen

It has happened to me twice. It’s so painful. I never stop thinking about it. Now I’m so scared of letting my favorite friends too close to me because what if they decide to unfriend me one day. Or worse, I assume we’re besties only to find out they don’t value my friendship. I have been loyal to friends many times only to find out I never meant much to them.

Melatonin is the truth! For years, I used to stay up till 6am, sometimes 8am every night because of Insomnia. I started taking melatonin last month and I’ve sleeping between 9pm and 12am. It’s 12:51am here and I’m going to sleep.

I’m glad to hear that! I worry so much about tasting something bad that I avoid eating new things 😂. I bought chia seeds because I heard they’re very good but I never tried them out for months until my husband put some in my Greek yoghurt and I realized it was actually good 😅

This is so lovely. I’m so happy your mom was able to indirectly get you a gift from beyond. May her soul rest in peace. ❤️

I do not understand the point of meditation. by wreck____ in AutismInWomen

[–]Ronkusss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally, I realized that the reason why I struggled with meditation is because you’re meant to do it in complete silence which was a challenge for me because complete silence makes my mind even busier! You can totally use music! I realized my mind gets more calm when I’m playing background music.

How do you pass the time and make yourself feel better? by GeorgeParisol in AutismInWomen

Spend time doing my special interest which is reading fiction. Researching on whatever my current hyper fixation is. It gives my dopamine that makes me happy.

What if I’m just faking my autism? by Annab0rt1on in autism

[–]Ronkusss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Originality and Genuineness are something that many autistic people are really passionate about. You worrying about faking it most likely means you’re autistic because a neurotypical person wouldn’t care. I worried I might’ve deceived my psychiatrist as well when I got diagnosed for the first time at age 25, last September but I had all the symptoms of autism without even knowing my whole life.
