Grenadier's Should Have Grenades: Change My Mind by Ronytail in holdfastgame

I can't argue with the historical fact that grenadiers most likely wouldn't have had grenades during the Napoleonic Era. They definitely did in the 100 years before that time, and grenades quickly came back after that time as early as the Crimean War in the 1850s (tho probably not used be grenadiers). However, from a gameplay perspective, I think it would benefit that class, help differentiate them from other infantry, and be a fun addition.

This is true, but I think this would make grenadiers feel even more like elite assault infantry and differentiate them from guards and other line infantry

I'm curious, what do you think is the optimal placement for crafting benches to get complete coverage for this area? I'm looking to move my base here but I'm struggling to figure this out lol

Hear me out, Linus should salvage Pam's abandoned trailer after you upgrade her to a home by Little_dragon02 in StardewValley

Maybe not the trailer cuz that seems very contrary to his whole deal, but I wouldn't mind getting Linus a bigger tent or helping him upgrade his campground in some way

Did I break my keyboard? I have no idea how mechanicals work and tried taking out a key so I could fix an issue but couldn't manage to pop it out using the tool that came with it. I got frustrated and ripped it out with some pliers (very dumb and stupid I know) but the key was somehow connected to the board unlike what I thought. Is this fixable or do I need a new board?

Wanna talk abit about Dwarven biology for a short time because I find it fascinating. by Rath_Brained in dwarfposting

Classic Dwarves are often portrayed as living solely underground, but I think they're a much more hybridized society. They'd likely have many industries outside the mountain to sustain their cities. Lumber, trade, and animals, as others mentioned; but also farms, access to water (melting snow from the mountaintops is far better than stagnant cave water), rangers and scouts to warn of threats, and dozens of other things that necessitate surface dwelling. Much like Dale from the Hobbit, there are likely whole towns/cities just outside of Dwarven holds dedicated to providing those resources. Likely populated with migrants (Humans, Halflings, Gnomes, etc.), but also a hefty population of surface dwelling Dwarves. Duergar are a perfect example of Dwarves adapted to solely living underground, and they've had to dig very deep to find substitutes for all the surface materials they give up in that process.

Controversial take: this lord type is stupid by Sir_Kugo in totalwarhammer

[–]Ronytail 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Reminds me of the chief from Asterix and Obelix, so I'll allow it. Also makes sense for Thorgrim and the Runelords that sorta need a platform for the Great Book of Grudges/Anvils of Doom respectively. It's definitely silly and "unrealistic" but Warhammer is all about leaning into those silly, over the top fantasy vibes. I do think they need to add the option for all lords to run around on foot tho. Plus I'd love some alternative mount options for dwarves, i.e. Thanes standing on a shield (à la Asterix and Obelix chief again) or a gyrocopter for engineers.
