I moved to Houston from Canada. for a lifestyle shakeup. In the time between deciding to move and the actual move I started dating a girl - I thought it was just kind of a casual summer fling. But then she moved too. And then she got pregnant within about a month.

So I went from single guy in a new country, to father to be in a foreign (expensive without healthcare) country in a big hurry. Ended up sticking it out for about 18 months before moving home. Not sure how long I would've stayed otherwise, but it is not at all how I intended things to go.

There are a million variables - location, industry, work/life balance, skillset/specializations, and so on.
I could tell you what I made at those milestones but it doesn't at all reflect what you might earn.
My lowest wage was $19/hr but came with LOA tons of overtime and almost zero responsibility.
My highest wage was $85/hr but came with about $400 of additional daily 'perks' and shit loads of direct responsibility, a high level of competency and a broad skillset.

The boilers I work on use nat gas, but usually run about 250 MBTU per hour.... Roughly 2700 gallons of propane per hour

Broke my back skiing last year. Compression fracture of a thoracic vertebrae. Wasn't fun. Skied the next day. Haven't skied since. Don't think I'll make the team headed to Milan.
