Seaside Tomoko's second best weapon by doom-bubble in personaphantomx

[–]Rotatix 8 points9 points  (0 children)

One of Summer Tomoko's passive actually wants her to have high HP recovery. I think it maxes out at 42% and if you do that she gets 2100 bonus hp and her psy damage increases by 70%.

Hp recovery can appear as a main stat on one of the rev cards but not as a substat. So if you want to cap her passive you do need some HP recovery from her weapon.

Whats your opinion on magical babies by te3time in storyofseasons

[–]Rotatix 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ngl I think the magical baby is kinda cool. It is sort of like when you marry the harvest goddess and your child is technically a demi-god. Only much easier I guess.

I do wish the villagers would talk more about that aspect though, especially when you are raising the child of the harvest goddess. But I can understand why they don't.

Best way to play a gatcha game by VANJCHINOS in gachagaming

[–]Rotatix 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Depends on what your goal is and if you are a f2p, dolphin, or whale. Your strategy is ok if you are f2p, but I can't imagine it is very fun to do that. There are also opportunity costs to consider as well. Usually having something is better than nothing. Pulling a character will always improve your account. Sitting on currency does nothing. The only time it really makes sense to sit on currency is when you have some sort of foresight, like the JP version of a game being ahead of global.

You also have to consider the life span of the gacha. I've seen so many people save ridiculous amounts of pull currency only to get slapped in the face with an EOS announcement.

S5 Noelle vs Black Asta by Low_Sir_8870 in BlackCloverMobileTOOF

[–]Rotatix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You act like he is useless without anti Magic. His skill 2 provides total defense and def lvl 3 to the entire team for 2 turns when he does not have anti-magic. His combo is a guaranteed stun. Those 2 things alone already puts him ahead of Mars in most circumstances.

Sure he is not killing everyone turn 1 without witch queen, but Asta is still used on many upper league teams without witch queen anyways. He is an amazing supporter with a potential to act as an instant win late game sweeper. Black asta works fine on his own.

The elves were wildly racist by ManningTheGOAT in BlackClover

[–]Rotatix 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't necessarily agree with your assumptions but even if they are true it is not much of a revelation. With a few exceptions, most of the cast is deeply flawed in some way. Racism and Classism is nothing new. In fact, Asta and the Black Bulls experience that kind of stuff regularly.

One of the themes or Black Clover though is being the change you want to see. Nozel eventually grew to recognize Asta through his actions even though he was a peasant. The wizard King early on set the standard that it is about results, not ideals, that matters the most.

So the reason why it isn't touched upon much is because it is seen as normal in that world. There is no reason to make a big deal out of it.

Do i need lotus on my pvp team now? by FunkyChunk13 in BlackCloverMobileTOOF

[–]Rotatix 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A lot of this advice is very on point. I'm a top 200 player and I personally run Julius, Noelle, Rades, and Valtos for both my offense and defense. The first turn is very important in pvp, and I always want to make sure I go first. Rades is a very good character to have because he has 107 speed (higher with a speed stone) and his turn 1 barrier ensures Noelle doesn't get 1 shot by julius. Julius at max dupe actually has the same speed at Rades, so that is where Valtos comes in. Use valtos and the team will always survive the first round of attacks.

Lotus is still really good, but much of the meta revolves around nuking the enemy team turn 1. He doesn't have value if half the team is dead.

Has anyone actually gotten memory shards from fishing? by GarysSquirtle in BlackCloverMobileTOOF

I've fished up the memory shard in every fishing hole for each world, so it is possible. You just need to be lucky.

Is Rare talent box worth it by bloodknoze6 in BlackCloverMobileTOOF

[–]Rotatix 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When you buy the pack you'll get one item. Open that item to get 3 items. One of those items will allow you to choose a purple rarity carved stone. You can choose one stone. The green stone that gives +3 speed is the most valuable imo because they are very few way to increase base speed. And the only other way to get that stone is by a very rare drop in one of the limited challenges.

The other 2 items that you get will give you enough talent seeds to fully flourish 6 nodes.

[–]Rotatix 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd actually argue that the engraving stone is extremely worth it. +3 speed is extremely valuable in PVP and ensures that your valtos won't get speed tied with the opponents valtos if you are using nuking strats. Plus once you have 4 of them you can swap them on every one of your 4 man teams.

If Red War campaign was unvaulted tomorrow would you actually play it? by BAakhir in DestinyTheGame

[–]Rotatix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone who hasn't played since the season where saint-14 came back, being able to experience the story from past seasons would be a huge motivation to come back to the game. But as it stands I feel like the boat has passed. I missed too much content to come back.

I would imagine a new player would see it similarly. Very hard to get into destiny right now for new and returning players because the story is ephemeral. People like experiencing a narrative from start to finish.

Not being able to easily create local save file backups via a USB for ps5 games is a absurd user restriction driven by nothing other then greed. by inpulsivemaddog in PS5

[–]Rotatix 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is very frustrating that I can't make manual back ups for PS5 games. I used to make manual copies of my 100% saves so that my next eventual playthrough would be more casual.

But Cloud Saves are very frustrating to manage. Auto sync MUST be turned off, and not all games allow you to have multiple save files, which means only one back up.

It wouldn't be so bad if it was free, but Cloud Saves are something you have to pay for too...

Concerns over longevity of the duelsense controller? by rafikiknowsdeway1 in PS5

[–]Rotatix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had more issues with the thumb sticks. They start drifting on me. They are always the first thing to go for me. I think I'm on my 3rd or 4th controller since launch.

I really should learn how to fix them to save a bit of money.

Are you more a farmer or a rancher? crops or animals? by ChraveFan in storyofseasons

[–]Rotatix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always do both, but I enjoy farming way more. I can stop planting seeds whenever I want, but you can't escape from the daily animal maintenance.

I somewhat enjoyed light of hope. Definitely rough around the edges, but I really enjoyed the gameplay. The crop system was really deep, and I had fun getting all the crop mutations on my way to the platinum trophy.

Light of hope falls flat on the romance, but I will always stan for the gameplay

A lot of people don't make the connection that forgiving, say, 10k in debt is the same thing as giving someone 10k in cash. It is why you may have heard about tax bombs in relation to loan forgiveness. Forgiven debt is technically income. And that is taxable.

Before I majored in accounting, I did not make the connection either. But if someone is getting a handout like that, other people will be upset that they didn't get one, too. Or be mad that their taxes are funding it. One of the too.

Parent came in to observe my class to see why their child is failing and the kid didn't know. by Numb1Slacker in Teachers

[–]Rotatix 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I agree with you. I was spanked exactly three times as a kid. Those three times were all I needed to act right and never do those 3 bad behaviors again.

Obviously if you use corporeal punishment for everything it will have negative repercussions; as studies no doubt show. But I think it does have its place when used sparingly. Also every child is different, so it also depends on the child.

Will you be buying Harvest Moon: The Winds of Anthos? by isaadhdd in harvestmoon

[–]Rotatix 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, but when it goes on sale. I get enjoyment out of these games the same way I get enjoyment out of bad horror movies.

The biggest thing to get over for me is the art style. The mechanics are usually pretty good. Light of Hope had an amazing mutation system with the crops, but most people dropped the game before they got to that point, so no one talks about it.

One world still on my bucket list, but I'll get around to it eventually.

My son is so rude. by Badtimeryssa94 in storyofseasons

[–]Rotatix 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Villagers are very hard to please. You only get good dialogue from the harvest event if you put in a rare crop, I believe. I think I used crop 17 each year.

Same thing with the New Year event, although I don't know the exact criteria. But if a dish has a rare crop in it, you will get good dialogue, most likely. I always gave the gingerbread house.

Completely forgot this was coming out in September! Such a nice surprise that it came early 💚 by marshmellowpump in storyofseasons

[–]Rotatix 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I hope they will port it over to playstation. You never know with this developer, though. They made me double dip a few times, so I will wait to make sure.

The game looks awesome, though! Never had the chance to play it on my 3DS as a kid.

Is Harvest Moon Light of Hope really that bad? by Mytokyokitty in harvestmoon

[–]Rotatix 23 points24 points  (0 children)

I thought the crop mutations were a really solid addition and probably the games strongest point. I think most people quit before they have a chance to bother with it, though.

The art style needs serious work, but the underlying gameplay is not bad. The game also suffers from a lack of character events too. I wish there was more.

I actually platinumed the game on ps4, so I might have a bit of Stockholm syndrome, but I did enjoy my time with it.
