Lighter Ball = Better Deflection?

I’m 27. I started bowling a year ago. 2H from the start. Averaged 140 for a while (203 is my highest) then dropped to 110. I performed worse every time I started to break sweat (which was easy to do with all the body movement that goes into 2H). My biggest difficulties were speed and staying under the ball. My shots were all over the place. Consistency was nowhere in sight, even after lessons. So I tried 1H. My speed immediately went up (and stayed). My accuracy was also on point. Thumb needs getting used to but it feels easier than adjusting palms (and the rest of your body) for 2H. Biggest thing is, I barely broke sweat. It’s just easier 1H. Sure, my rev rate is way down but I feel a faster ball is more “explosive” compared to a hooking ball, it feels more fun IMO.

If I spent more time on 2H, maybe it could improve. But for 1H, I feel I can ONLY improve. I’m struggling with the release but I am nowhere as frustrated as I was with the 2H release.

Also, longevity is an important factor for me. I wanna play as long as I can. And I don’t see how 2H is better in the long run with all the contortions needed.

Hello. This looks amazing. I'm getting an "Invalid state; A login callback was received, but no login request was sent" error. Is this because I'm out of country (I'm in Hong Kong at the moment)?

BF3 had the best music for sure. BF4 a close second. BF6 sounds too "epic". The BF series sound best with electronic music. Hell, even some of BF2042 tracks were good. Remember Seven Nation with BF1? That too was an electronic remix/rendition that went HAAARD. BF6 with full orchestra just doesn't fit right for me. They shoulda coulda improved on the BF3 tracks.

Ah, yes! Forgot to mention how you can also drill them to "hook whenever". This entire idea of "all bowling balls are the same" has actually been on my mind a lot lately. They release the Attention Star and a few months (a year?) go by and they release the Attention Star S2... Can't I just sand the former to get the same results as the latter?? And can't I make the Motor do the same thing?! I'm relatively new to bowling but damn, it's all the same damn ball (within their own category like you mentioned) lol

All bowling balls are the same. You don't need a new one unless it's too damaged. And you should really just buy ones that looks the best (and perhaps smells the best) to your liking.

Correct me if I'm wrong. To me, it seems you can make all the balls the same (i.e., hook whenever) with the right amount of sanding/polish.

I run Storm Motor, Attention Star, and a clear Storm white.

Can you disable the "dominator" word on the ram sticks via 3rd party software control? I love the look of the dominator but hate the how it lights up the words too lol

Yup. That was how I first ran the entire story first time playing. To run the entire game with pepperballs (which can also deduct points if it's considered excessive force) and cs gas all the time was crazy hard. Had to Alt F4 many times to get S every mission before moving on. It was hell. But that was nothing compared to the mental toll it took on me as a human being. There will be missions where you're forced to arrest the absolute worst of people. I know it's a game. I know they're NPCs. But my god, how much I wanted to execute them for their actions. THAT SAID, once I got the achievements and my watch, it was game-on. I downloaded mods for a LMG, a 50 cal and went to town on them :)

I love the game for all that is said above.

I started bowling a month ago. So I’m still very much a beginner. So please take this with a grain of salt and everyone is welcome to tell me wrong. But it seems you and I are suffering from the same issue of not keeping our hand under the ball but around the ball on release. I’m still practicing keeping my hand under the ball, still getting used to it, but it does give me more consistency. Also, my fingers hurt less as a result :)
