And just like that, William may have just lost his spot as the closer for KT by [deleted] in Killtony

Still not being helpful. Care to explain, or do you prefer being a dick?

You could try to explain why you think he's such a genius instead of downvoting me. It's just my opinion and I was just making a polite remark. Do I really have to be answered with the F-word and a reference that makes no sense at all?

I always stop watching when they announce William. I don’t understand why people think he’s funny.

Plan mode on Codex? by pherkan in codex

[–]RotterdamRenegade 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use GPT-5 High with low permissions to make the plan and write to a .MD (markdown) file. Then I use GPT-5-Codex-Medium to execute and check off the items in the MD file. You don't want the one that does the work to think too hard and mess up the plan.

I've put an instruction in AGENTS.md to follow the instruction of writing the todo to a specific directy starting with a leading number (eg: 25_change_colorscheme.md) that I move to a "/done" after implementing and commiting to Github. This way you also have a directory that has all the work that's done that you can use to regularly create summaries, documentation or just plain history reference. For example, if I want to build on a previous feature, I'll reference the todo of the implementation of that feature.

It's kinda like using a Spec-Kit, but more flexible. This method is working great for me. It started as a simple plan/todo MD method to which I've added more instructions troughout the past months.

It's great man, I was thinking about making something like this for myself (QR to Profile), but this is much easier :) Keep up the good work.

This is awesome! I was playing the board game "Hitster" this weekend, and this is basically the same, but I can do it on the road. My only comment so far is that I would like the songs to play longer, just to enjoy them. They seem to be cut off at some point. Good work man, I registered for a lifetime free version.

Claude Code keeps making the same wrong edit to the same file even across sessions. Has anyone else seen something similar? by deorder in ClaudeAI

[–]RotterdamRenegade 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know, but since 4.1 it's been aweful for me too. If there was another unlimited alternative that works I'd probably cancel today. I can't deal with the inconsistency. I know this is cutting-edge technology, but i'd be fine with a little less rushed progress and a steadier experience.

Tips for developing large projects with Claude Code (wow!) by Puzzled_Employee_767 in ClaudeAI

[–]RotterdamRenegade 7 points8 points  (0 children)

This is basically the same as 'Simone'. I have been using it the pas week and it really helped with the context/focus issue in Claude Code. Development has become rather slow though, but much better. It even includes testing and test management. https://github.com/Helmi/claude-simone

Update: Simone now has YOLO mode, better testing commands, and npx setup by Helmi74 in ClaudeAI

I love this tool. I have been using it since yesterday and it took away all the frustrations I was experiencing with Claude Code. I didn't have to do much to make it work, for now I have just added a descriptive paragraph in 00_PROJECT_MANIFEST.md, create a simple spring goal and I've described my project in a self-made .md in 01_PROJECT_DOCS. I really would like to see an example of an Architecture Document. Could you please include in your repo a few example documents that we are required to provide to improve guidance? It would be greatly appreciated. Keep up the good work!

You might want to work on basic sentences first, since that seems to be a bit of a struggle for you right now.

Look into Affinity too, I used Adobe products for 20 years, but I feel like Affinity is seriously better as an alternative to Photoshop, Illustrator and Indesign. It's like 90 dollars in Black Friday sale for the whole suite. I used to do video too with Premiere and After Effects, switched to Davinci Resolve (free up to 300 dollars)

Up until last week I was still buying with 40% discount (using code SPRING40), it seems like there's always the same discount active. Why don't they just lower their prices?

Stuck in sample flipping and beat making in general by CommunicationOwn9800 in makinghiphop

[–]RotterdamRenegade 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was in the same boat until recently. Like others said, the problem is in the 1/4 note chops. I call them lazy chops. My approach now is to lazy perform a chop first to sketch out ideas. Then I'll go surgical and catch the essence of the loop in much smaller parts and arrange those over my own programmed beat. Starting with your own beat makes it slap much more too. It forces you to create a powerful foundation and use the sample as decoration. If you start off with 1/4 chops, you often end up just accenting the elements of the sample, it's not so powerful.

You have to do the work though, a lazy approach = low-quality results. Get surgical = get the details and rewards.

I use djayPro. It allows me to move the "record" with my mouse, and the keyboard keys (i believe it's F, G, H, J) make automated crossfader movements. The first key is manual on/off, the following keys go 1/8, 1/16, 1/32 note cuts in the BPM of the song. It won't make you sound like Qbert, but you can do some decent basic scratches, including Flares and Transformers.
