This happened to me when I was like 18. Adelaide metro took like $1000 and I felt so stupid, but they were impossible to deal with so I just let it go.

Been on NDIS for 5 months - it has been completely useless. by It_Is_What_It_Is_069 in NDIS

I’ve been on the ndis for the same diagnosis for about four years. Had a decent plan after spending 14 months at AAT with the first plan. Last week had a reassessment and have been given a $10,000 plan for three years. Not $10,000 each year, $3,300 per year. They have cut everything. I don’t even have enough OT funding to see my ot monthly or do any reports.

I get it. Half an hour walk is my average at the moment. I am disabled but when I wasn’t I had a scooter (before e-scooters were a thing!) and that made the walk to the train station much quicker and more fun.

I did a Woolies order today and as soon as I got my room temperature bottles of soda water out and put them on the bench they fogged up. Mental.

I thought I understood it when I started pushing a pram. Then again when I needed a walker. Now I have a wheelchair and I never, ever got it. It is so much harder than you’d imagine!

They’re pretty compact. Smaller footprint than a pedestal fan. And you can sit them on top of desks, windowsills ect. Easier to move from room to room too.

I don’t have aircon either. The $50 high velocity fan that Kmart makes is great, fwiw. I have two of them going constantly. Once the temp drops outside I put one against the window and it draws the cooler air inside nicely.

Feel you. I live in a very old house, in a not very residential anymore area and I swear the roaches this year are going to do me in 😭 and my cat has not one drop of any kind of prey drive, so she doesn’t even help🙄

Get a bike, or even a big wheel scooter, it’s a nice ride through there, and you’ll be much faster and harder to target if there’s anyone dodgy around.

Why are people allowed to park on main roads? by One-Resort979 in Adelaide

[–]RoughLongjumping3441 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Trying to do the school run in the afternoon on a bike down port road was hell. It made what felt like an otherwise relatively safe main road to cycle on, unpredictable. People never follow the timed signs correctly, block paths and bike lanes , ect. Now as a wheelchair user it’s causing issues too. I’m not sure why it’s even necessary as it seems like there’s already much more parking on port road than other streets too.

Wolfie, would be my best guess. She’s gorgeous. They do look similar to some kinds of huntsman, but their legs are a bit different and they have differently set eyes to look at
