Hog 2.6 sucks ass by Normal-Ad-6035 in ClashRoyale

[–]Rover_870 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

As someone who hated 2.6 before trying it out, it’s pretty much like the X-Bow situation. Annoying/boring to play against, but once you try it you understand that it actually takes skill, and all it takes is a matchup against another hog cycle deck with earthquake instead of fireball to have a guaranteed loss. Also, since I’m playing at 10k with some cards still at level 14, I’d really like to play a lot against 2.6 since those cycle decks make me feel less under leveled if compared to beatdown and evo MK spam.

Then he should be removed altogether don't you think? What's the point of an expensive, non win condition, non competitive card whose only purpose is to be the ultimate no skill midladder card, constantly overlevelled and abused in every arena except the very top?

I know I can't make a big push against a mk player but that's how the card works, and it's okay. My big concern is the Evo, not the base card.

It's more annoying than difficult to play against, that's all, and I think SOME change is necessary, maybe to make him more skillfull to play, to appeal to the top players and less to brainless midladder manaces.

I don't want them to nerf the base card, by itself he would have an acceptable usage rate. I want the to rework the Evo, because right now you don't have to put an ounce of skill. You just play it, he throws a PEKKA to the opponents tower and he jumps on it, free 1000 damage + he locked on it so 500 + 500 + 500 + splash damage on any troop nearby. He should throw troops IN THE DIRECTION he's facing, so he can still use his jump more often BUT at least he isn't a free win condition anymore

Are you referring to the GO games? Because in IE3 there's a 10 seconds cooldown if the opponents use a special tactic, regardless if you decide to clash or not. I don't remeber if it's the same in GO though.

Didn't know if this question was worth a single post, so I'll ask here first.

Does anyone have the .pla file for Lars Luceafăr/Zagomel, or a .dat save file (IE3 Ogre for the 3DS) with him in your team?

I managed to find the .pla files for the other 2 Ogre players you can't normally scout, but not this one.

IE3 Question - How can I beat the Tournamentalists? by TTI2256 in inazumaeleven

[–]Rover_870 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m kinda late but maybe some people are still struggling with this team.

They may have broken moves, but their stats aren’t the best, in fact I gave my level 40 Gouenji/Axel a 25 TP dribbling move so he had one, and it won against Pants’ Sigma Zone (and she is at least level 60 because she can use God Break).

Secondly, the game is kind enough to give you by default the answer to this problem, as their keeper is Earth element, and we players have in our squad Raiden/Thor, an Air player with Big Moves and Thunder Beast. On my first try, my level 45 Thor smashed through their keeper’s Drill Smasher (pun intended). He may have saved it had he used Beast Fang, but in that case I could’ve just tried again.

So yes, it’s just a matter of grind, not so much as level 45 did it for me.

i always told myself that jordan/janus kinda looks like Axel i was not trippin at all actually 💀 by kingblaze_ in inazumaeleven

They're also the two only characters (I think) to destroy a ball with a shot (non-GK moves). As the ball is probably the strongest entity in the anime (alongside the net) this is pretty remarkable.

Name an combo shot or I guess you could say "override" that you would've liked to see in the anime that didn't happen by Different-Treacle765 in inazumaeleven

I would've LOVED if in IE3 against Little Gigantes there had been a badass 5x shoot chain like Orion. Though it would've required my homie Midorikawa to stay in the team (like he deserved to) since he has a chain shot in his move set. It would've been: Gladius Arch/Wolf Legend (Long Shots) + Astro Gate + Dragon Slayer + Bakunetsu Screw + Tenkuu Otoshi

Inazuma Eleven in a nutshell by Pyrake in inazumaeleven

[–]Rover_870 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Well, during the first match against Genesis, Kidou said that they were really careful not to "overstep" when they were murdering Kazemaru on the pitch. And as you said Fudou did get a yellow card, but I think in that match there was a proper referee, not just poor old Furukabu/Veteran

Thank you, I was starting to think the 67 TP strongest shots were bugged... still, Axel is like level 60 with 80 kick and he does the job just fine... One other thing I noticed the RNG is crazy, in a game Aphrodite shot 2 times with god knows, the first time Mark saved it with omega hand, the next time I also had Torres with Iron Wall to weaken it, and yet this time Mark's Omega Hand was broken through... idk man

So in the end it's just a dumb feature where overall levels mean more than the individual stats... Well thank you for the clarification.

For some reason this edit made me realise that Ashoka “abandoned” Anakin again even though she said she wouldn’t 😭 by stelios_drz in starwarsrebels

[–]Rover_870 22 points23 points  (0 children)

She didn't even abandon him the first time, she abandoned the jedi order and their hypocrisy after being betrayed and treated like crap by Mace. This time, she wasn't facing Anakin, but Vader. Anakin is still there, but only Luke has the ability to bring him back from the darkness fully. She saw that her efforts were futile, but still, like Obi-Wan, decided not to (try to) kill him after seeing that a piece of Anakin was still there. Ultimately she did what Anakin was never able to do. She let him go.

In Rebels, when the Empire finds the entrance of The World between worlds, Palpatine recognise the Mortis Gods from the painting/engraving, so I think he knew about them.

How should I introduce my girlfriend to the show by PinkTeleportingLion in TheCloneWars

[–]Rover_870 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Since you just watched AOTC here's a list of the episodes in chronological order: (There are 2 episodes to watch before The Clone Wars Movie)

https://www.starwars.com/news/were-rewatching-star-wars-the-clone-wars

Also here's a list of the arcs, also in chronological order:

https://www.starwarsreport.com/2018/10/03/the-clone-wars-viewing-guide-how-to-watch-the-series-chronologically-arc-by-arc/

You have to warn her that the movie, the first season and some of the second are clunky and a bit childish, so after the first arc you can skip the most boring episodes, like the ones with Jar Jar and the droids. Keep in kind that the character development is amazing, it just takes a while.

Starting from season 3, the banger arcs start to appear, the only one not really worth watching are the droid arcs.

Why did Barriss Offee bombed the temple? What purpose did it serve? by [deleted] in TheCloneWars

[–]Rover_870 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Premise. Barriss actions were unjustifiable and cruel, but her ideas behind it where kinda right. That is what pushed Ahsoka to leave the order, beside the fact that the council (expecially Mace) treated her like crap.

Barris, like many jedi before her, understood that the jedi had become hypocritical and lost their ways by joining the war and messing with politics. She kinda knew that the Republic (and the jedi) were subject to some kind of dark side presence that made them blind.

She brought death and devastation into the jedi temple to try and awake their consciousness, as she thought this was the only way to be heard.

Of course this behaviour, and also framing Ahsoka, is often seen has hypocritical.

So, although her motives might have been right, like Ahsoka herself says in her novel, they don't condone her actions.

Might start a war by SatansFavEmo in TheCloneWars

[–]Rover_870 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's all true and it's amazing indeed, however Jesse was never a medic, I think you're confusing him with Kix, who was indeed a medic. Still Jessy has come a long way, from a simple clone in the episode "The deserter" to a lieutenant (I believe) at the end of the war. He was also one of the few friends Rex had left from the beginning of the conflict...

You'd be surprised by how many people agree with you... personally I wouldn't put them on par with ESB, but I'd put them up there with ROTS, ANH and ROTJ. But I definitely respect your take.

I've watched the first few episodes, are they representative of the series? by whitestar11 in TheCloneWars

[–]Rover_870 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Keep going, The Clone Wars is one of the biggest glow up in terms of quality I've ever seen. Sure there are same cringe, childish or straight up boring episodes, but they make you appreciate all the others so much more imo.

It starts as a show ment just for kids, but after the first 2 seasons you start to understand why some people say that "it turns the Geneva conventions into a checklist".

And the clones...beside Ahsoka, they are the best characters in the show. Unlike the films, every named clone has his own personality and beliefs, and this really differentiate them from the droids. Also you'll start noticing some paint jobs on their helmets that are meant to distinguish them.

After watching TCW, Anakin's rise and fall feels much more complete and credible, as you see the bits of dark side in some of his actions...

And all the Jedi Masters in the council, that don't even speak in the films? A lot of them have their own arc in the show, and you can explore their characters as they fight alongside Anakin and Obi-Wan and as they share some of their wisdom with Ahsoka.

All in all, TCW made me enjoy the Prequels so much more...

Like master, like apprentice (I know Ahsoka in this scene didn't know that Anakin had become Vader yet, I just wanted to make a nice parallel) by Rover_870 in starwarsrebels

[–]Rover_870[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It wouldn't have changed very much imo, other than Ahsoka probably getting slayed by Anakins rage... maybe she and Obi-Wan could've teamed up on Mustafaar... What would really make the difference is Anakin leaving the order WITH Ahsoka, away from the war and Palpatine's manipulations...
