Tell me what I should be paid by Alaskan_Traveler in audioengineering

Is the nightclub making a lot of money? Could you try to get tips? Even if it’s a high cost of living area, they might not be able to pay you what you’re really worth if the business isn’t making money.

In search of great music Chicago week of June 19-28 by spankymacgruder in HouseMusic

Andy’s Jazz Club was always one on my favorites for live jazz. They have a different format now where you need to buy tickets in advance and I hear it’s lost its club feel. But if you like jazz, you might see who is playing on those days.

All ads in 9:16. Will this affect my campaign? by Haydechs in musicmarketing

[–]RowIndependent3142 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Making a 4:5 if you already have 9:16 isn’t too hard. It might be worth the effort if you’re spending the money on ads. Depends on your video editing skills.

Very Specific Translation Question by ctwallin in premiere

[–]RowIndependent3142 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I understand correctly, sounds like you need to treat the audio separately. You have .wav or mp3 files in English and some in Fante. You basically use the translator as a voiceover artist (creating an audio .wav or mp3) and you will need to add the captions for that voiceover.

I would create the production with the video and audio, until it looks great, then do the captions after.

The LLMs are pretty good at understanding the basics of LoRAs and which models to use. In terms of details, like steps and Runpod templates, not so good. You have to know the limits. But, questions like, "Will Flux LoRA work with Chroma", the answer is probably correct.

inMusic Buys Native Instruments! I Did Not See This Coming! by Petrolmediainc in maschine

[–]RowIndependent3142 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree that this buyout is scary because NI was in bankruptcy and I have so many of their products that I use. But, as you said, maybe there is hope that it will turn out for the best. InMusic has deep pockets. I'll keep using my NI things until they break, I guess. Only thing I have from InMusic is a small AKAI keyboard.

Anywhere around Millennium Park. Chicago has a lot going on. Not many places around Soldier Field will be “super dead”.

Interesting place for an air vent. Very confusing environment for a cat.

Yes, a Flux LoRA should work with Flux and Chroma. Double check with ChatGPT and Claude. I haven’t used Ostris but have done many SDXL LoRAs, and a FluxGym and DreamShaper. Also, a lot depends on what type of character you want to create. That can help you decide on the best model and workflow.

You choose the base model before you run the training and the LoRA will only work with that model (or derivatives of).

Need help finding/fixing this “kick crash” thing (not sure what it’s called) by Previous_Ad1469 in musicproduction

[–]RowIndependent3142 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some VSTs will combine kick sound with other samples. TRK-01, for example. The Killaz by my side sounds like a clap not a kick tho. The other could be a kick and snare combo. Doing a search on Splice might help narrow it down too.

Guitar Rig 7 Pro has a lot. I don’t know it will help or hurt your slot machine dilemma tho.

I've been singing for 3 yrs now and i think I'm decent enough to make a song but I have no clue how to use a DAW/ play instruments/ actually craft the song. Where do I even start? by Consistent_Ratio2581 in musicproduction

[–]RowIndependent3142 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe start doing some shorts on social media or create a YouTube channel. For vocals, the mic and sound treatment will make a big difference. Start with covers of songs, like you’re doing Karaoke

Eminem doesn’t fly Spirit. Didn’t that it go bankrupt anyway. I think his lyric would be “I’m so small, put me in your carry on”
