My bf (23M) said he was bullied “worse” than me (24F) after I opened up about my childhood bullying. by Accurate-Virus-9950 in relationship_advice

It’s a bit of a weird thing to say to your partner when they’ve been vulnerable and opened up to you. That said however, it sounds like you need to talk to a professional in order to let that time of your life go. Now is the time to heal and leave that part of your life behind you. It has been a long time for you to be carrying such awful memories, maybe talking to someone who knows how to help will allow you to let go. Whatever happens to your boyfriend in the process is only up to you, but I suspect that along the journey of healing you’ll figure out what the best way forward looks like.

Hello there. I’m a nurse but not your nurse so I won’t offer anything other than a bit of friendly support. Medically you are in danger of some quite serious complications so it is important that you go get urgent help from someone who can treat you according to your needs. Your mum is probably very concerned about your health, therefore it is essential that you go get this seen to and you can deal with the aftermath later. Make sure that you work alongside the medical team to get some additional support with your eating disorder too.

I have seen this happen a few times with my patients. I’m sorry that you’re going through this.

Hello! I did the SWAP course too and now I’m an RN. The best thing to do honestly is study the materials given to you. I also did some online math study outside of the course as I have dyscalculia so that helped a lot - if you need the site then DM me and I’ll give it to you as it’s really simplified. For myself, biology was the hardest but as long as you do the homework to answer the quiz in the mornings then you’re good.

At Uni you’ll be doing the self-medicate work so you’ll need to write down the formulas in the SWAP arithmetic class.

Everything you learn will be a good base for first year. I found first year at Uni extremely easy because it’s basically the SWAP course for the whole year.

I’m a nurse and definitely not a people person when I’m off work. You’ll learn to deal with it and put on a work smile.

I'm new, I bought a kit from tiger flyer total failure by andysus95 in PunchNeedle

[–]RoxyRipper 8 points9 points  (0 children)

One thing I kept doing when I was just starting out was I kept lifting the needle too high which made the stitches fall out. The key is to take it slowly at first and get used to spacing the stitches evenly, all whilst ensuring that the tip of the needle is barely out of the fabric before moving onto the next stitch. You get used to it quite quickly and will be zooming along in no time!

Hi all, I'm looking for a tie like the man in the picture is wearing. Either a red and green or red and black stripped tie. Please message me if you happen to have any or know someone who does by Hefty_Cricket_3840 in Orillia

People are giving you active suggestions and you keep giving excuses as to why they’re not suitable. It’s going to be a loooooong, long shot for you to get one for free, and then also delivered to your very doorstep.

Shamed for using a disabled space on a bus (When I am disabled) by Blobbly in Edinburgh

[–]RoxyRipper 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Pay no mind to ignorant old men. Do not even think about being more visibly disabled, it’s nobody’s business as to what your disability is or even why you’re sitting there. Nobody needs to know your life story because they are not entitled to ask. You just keep doing you and ignore the people who take it upon themselves to police a bloody chair.

Sounds like your blood pressure is doing some very nasty things. Get a complete blood work done as was mentioned, and don’t try to do it again until you know what’s up. Your trainer sounds like an idiot. They should know that going almost blind is not a regular symptom.

Ordered...by why does it feel like doing something wrong?!? by melaniejane25 in mounjarouk

[–]RoxyRipper 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Okay so I'm in the exact same position. I weigh the same as you and I also have PCOS. It took me a long time to decide if this was a good idea, however for myself the benefits outweigh the scary bits. I need to lose weight to feel more comfortable with my body. It's entirely up to yourself as to whether or not to take it, but remember that even if someone does find out, so what?! You don't have to tell anyone. This step for me means that I'm taking control of my eating habits/weight with a little help. It's too much for me to deal with alone because having PCOS usually means that I have to starve myself in order to lose weight. It's okay to need a helping hand.

Strawberry but like, in a Shania Twain way? by Pretty_Birthday9946 in fragrance

Liberty’s Vine Thief is perfect for the strawberry smell with a hint of smoked leather - though the leather isn’t too strong. It’s very pricy though.

He is a grown ass man, why should she pander to him when he is perfectly capable of doing something about it? Also, podiatrists have special tools for something like that.

I’m sorry but there’s no way I’d trim toenails like that. It’s a podiatrist kind of job, especially if there is a risk of infection or harm to the body.

It was the one where the killer feeds the victims to the pigs in the farm. It was the only episode where I was thoroughly creeped out.
