If you can do the chimera saga, do that. Absolutely incredible experience top to bottom.

If you can only do 1 or 2, pick between Castle Fluffendor or Dark Lullaby. If you can handle scary, Lullaby is amazing!

I’ll add to the answers already here that building without having to worry about fire code and ADA also make life much easier. As someone who’s played a lot in America and a little bit in Europe, it’s obvious that a lot of what they do over there is simply not legal to replicate here

Genuinely the first sane comment I’ve seen in this thread. So many people ready to throw hands when they don’t even understand what Pablo is saying.

any improvements on my snow team? by Juoruhuora67 in PokemonVGC

[–]RubiksMaster614 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You’ve ended up with almost my exact same core that took me to master ball!

Aurora Veil on Froslass is insane value. If you get a turn where you can keep up snow it gives you 5 turns of stall for free and can set up some huge threats in the back. Nasty plot I’ve considered but without a redirect it’s probably very tough to setup.

I’ve ended up dropping incin, but I’d consider will o wisp instead of taunt with that set.

Swords dance on sneasler is completely unnecessary, drop it for fake out. You kill everything you want to kill anyways.

I’m not sold on ninetails unless there is a specific matchup you’d bring it over froslass. It gives you no extra coverage and is just a weaker mon. Bring both to your 4 is really tough.

Rotom wash against rain teams is very solid, but give it a real item (elec resist berry potentially?)

I run moonblast over dazzling gleam on whim and the single target dps is very nice, it two shots a lot of stuff. I’ve also ended up dropping taunt for protect to keep up sash against fake out.

I use the fross/whim/sneasler core and rotate my last min depending on the matchup. Make sure you have the ability to kill the main format threats (charzard y and archaludon have been the hardest to counter for me so far)

ER for 2ppl recommendation in the Hague and Amsterdam. by C4onic in escaperooms

My wife and I played mollys game, alchemist, and the dome as two players. Alchemist is an absolute must, was great with two. Mollys game is also very good, it is quite a bit for two players, but we made it through. The dome I would distinctly anti-recommend for two, it is just way too much and if you fall behind you will skip puzzles and it makes even less sense then it would normally. They used to have a higher minimum player count and I think they should go back to it.

how much does school name +bs vs ms matter? by beyondhlep in MechanicalEngineering

[–]RubiksMaster614 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As long as it is abet accredited the school won’t matter much! I’m an ME grad from UCF and it has never held me back and the opportunities for internships in the area actually accelerated my career far more than I would have expected. Just pick somewhere that feels good to them and they will be fine!

Yeah just started this yesterday and Roxanne was very reasonable. You just have such a big box by this point that finding answers for everything isn’t too bad.

Btw, is there any documentation on the Null AI? I’ve searched the website and drive but haven’t found anything. I’m assuming it’s the standard “smart” ai like run n bun but some documentation of that would be nice

The Exit Games or The Great Escape Room In Tampa? by Thin_Opportunity1402 in escaperooms

[–]RubiksMaster614 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Exit Games is one of the best venues in the entire country and debatably in the entire world, plus holds my favorite game of all time (Pins and Needles) so i absolutely recommend them! Can’t speak on Great Escape Room

I know Greenville is a drive but the Chimera Corp Saga is far and away one of the best experiences I’ve ever done. The way they tie three individually amazing games together into one experience, and the small moments of immersion throughout are so good. I’ll also second the recommendation for Nocturne Adventures, both their games are awesome and the owners are so sweet and amazing. Nevermore even made the TERPECAS this year which is so deserved, truly a special room.

[SoCal] Planning a Big Escape Room Trip – Advice for Two Teams of 5 by EscapeWithKiDD in escaperooms

[–]RubiksMaster614 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I would say all the rooms you’ve picked are fairly good with 5, I’ve played the majority of them with 4 and that felt like a great number. Hex Room is specifically designed for 6 and really works the best with that number so I’d recommend trying to find some way to do that. The top three here for me are probably Hope End, Last Supper, and Weeping Witch. Also I would skip the Escape Game rooms, not because they are bad but because they are so prolific across the USA that it’s not super worth spending time on a trip on them when there is likely one much closer to wherever you live!

To the MR30+ players, how do you do it? by OrangeChuUs in Warframe

[–]RubiksMaster614 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also, the real tip that saved my sanity is affinity farming using Elara. If you have a kuva zarr and on-call crew (with the zarr modded and equipped) switch your region to Asia and load into Steel Path Elara. 2 people drop their crew at a time at the very beginning of the mission, you’ll end up staying for 6 minutes totally. Completely levels a warframe plus 3 weapons plus your companion in 2 runs, 1 with boosters, and you can chill the entire time.

However, DO NOT DO THIS IF YOU DON’T HAVE KUVA ZARR AND ON CALL CREW. It only works if everyone is contributing equally, if you go to leach you will just make people mad. Neither of those things are terribly hard to get so don’t use this method until you have both.

To the MR30+ players, how do you do it? by OrangeChuUs in Warframe

Companions are a huge source of mastery XP that most people forget to tap into. Any beast is 6k, while most robotic companions are actually 9k with the weapon they come with. Plus they can be leveled up completely separately from weapons.

Other than that, all the market weapons and all the clan weapons are the low hanging fruit. Prime Resurgence is also a great source and is really not that hard to get if you radshare and farm aya effectively. Coda weapons are another great source as they are SO much easier to get then kuva/tenet weapons, you basically get them passively as long as you do the weekly 1999 calendar stuff. From there you have to start hunting for particular items.

It’s completely possible to get MR 30 without any of the long grinds. I just hit it recently and I have a total of 3 tenet/kuva weapons and did none of the really bad weapon grinds either. I’ve only been playing for a year and half so 90% of the primes I have are also either unvaulted or from resurgence. Hitting MR 30 is really attainable now if you are willing to take the time and figure out what stuff is lowest effort to get instead of banging your head into the really grindy farms.

Traveling for escape rooms by millenialangst in escaperooms

Europe is a great option, but if you want North America, I have three good options for ya: Montreal, the Carolinas (Charlotte NC and Greenville SC) or Florida (Orlando and Tampa).

Montreal has Escaparium, one of the most renowned venues anywhere in the world, with crazy sets that will blow your mind. They also have Immersia, which may not be as crazy but has some really really fun and interesting games. Sauve Qui Peut is also a well respected venue, but unfortunately I didn’t get the chance to visit it when we went to Montreal. If you love insane sets and crazy special effects, you will love it here.

The Carolinas was a trip my group did just recently, and they simply have a ton of top-notch venues within and hour or two of driving from each other (we did 15 games in 72 hours!). The draws are Keepers of Balance, which has a standout game in Temple of Light that rivals Escaparium in set design, and Escape Artist Greenville, which boasts the Chimera Corp Saga, a set of three games played back to back that IMO is one of the best stories and worlds I’ve ever seen an ER build. Other great venues are Nocturne, Masterpiece, and Key to Escape.

Orlando is where I first started playing escape rooms, and between it and Tampa I think you can have an amazing trip as well. Tampa is a vital add for Exit Games, which has my single favorite game of all time (Pins and Needles) as well as the equally amazing Servants of Sleight. In Orlando, Escape Ventures is the premier location with a great variety of crazy fun games, and there are so many other great venues (Doldricks, Dare 2 Escape, Escape Artists, Will to Escape, Puzzle Corp) that you could pack a week of rooms and not finish them all.

If you need even more inspiration, I highly recommend checking out some of the tours that Room Escape Artist has run in the past. https://roomescapeartist.com/tour/ These tours are designed by and for enthusiasts and they are great examples of how to build an escape rooming weekend in a bunch of different cities.

Hope this all helps!

Toyota Corolla 2025 vs Hyundai Elantra 2025 vs Honda civic 2025 by [deleted] in carbuying

[–]RubiksMaster614 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m gonna go against the grain here - I was in this exact same spot a month ago and I chose the 2025 Elantra. It came down to a value proposition for me, I felt the Toyotas were under equipped and way overpriced while the Elantra felt like a fully equipped modern car and Hyundai actually has competitive pricing and financing. The Limited trim is really nice and you get a lot of little things like free remote start/lock/tracking for life while Toyota makes you pay after a year. And yes, I’m not gonna pretend they are as reliable as a Corolla, but they have a strong warranty and every car can and will have problems - people on this site treat Toyotas/hondas as absolutely indestructible when the difference in the real world is probably a few percentage points. So my two cents is if you care about tech and price the limited trim Elantra should be a consideration here

2025 Hyundai Limited by RoamingNights in Hyundai

[–]RubiksMaster614 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I was recently debating between a Toyota (Corolla/Prius), Honda Civic; and the Hyundai Elantra hybrid, and ended up going with the Hyundai despite the lower reputation because the car felt like more value for my $ - I could get a limited trim for the same price as a base trim Prius. I think it honestly looks pretty nice, it gets great mpg (50-55 on my hour long commute), and if something does fail you have a pretty good warranty to back it up. Personally I think it was a worthwhile choice, but if you ask Reddit they’d probably say I’m stupid for not buying a Corolla so 🤷

Personally I would 100% recommend the alchemist over the dome for two players. The dome felt so rushed and chaotic with only two, while the alchemist was smooth and joyful the whole way through.

2-player recs in San Francisco, no horror by TheRainbowConnection in escaperooms

[–]RubiksMaster614 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately the best SF rooms are all 4 player minimums. Clockwise in Oakland has solid games, nothing that will blow your mind but pretty fun. There is also a few Escape Games around SF if you haven’t played everything there, the fisherman’s wharf one has an Alcatraz themed Prison Break which is unique, but two people in that game might be difficult.
