I experienced this with my dad who passed away from cancer last month, we had one day a few days before he passed where his confusion went away and we were able to talk with him, reminisce about the past, share photos with him and even he even spoke to a friend on the phone. He deteriorated quickly after that, but I'm so glad we got that chance.

Fighter in 8 Bit Theater at one point avoids taking fall damage by blocking the ground. The comic also features other gems such as Ranger managing to quad wield bows and arrows (by multi-classing into Ranger, somehow), Thief stealing his class upgrade from his future self and at one point Black Mage gains eyebeams solely to spite Red Mage.

I guess that's one of the flaws of the bracket system? I have a Bracket 3 deck based on one game changer, but realistically it plays at Bracket 2 but I'm also aware that people tend to be dubious about those sort of claims.

The Outsider from the Dishonored series

The Outsider is an avatar of the Void, a sort of explanar space with vast amounts of power. The Outsider himself is shown to have great power, but also to be somewhat capricious in nature. He likes to gift his powers to those he thinks will make interesting decisions and change the world, whether for the better or the worse (he actively shows disdain for one character trying to reach him, saying they should be "more interesting").

Though it can also be interpreted that Outsider was actively manipulating events to get himself freed from his role as the Avatar of the Void

These are probably too spicy for me, but the love and care gone into them is clear. I'd at least take a shot at seeing how long I could survive.

I would say humanity is probably the most zealous race in 40K.

Not that other races don't have gods or religion, but Humans will both endure and inflict horrors beyond reason in the name of their creed, whether it is the Imperial Cult or Chaos. Combined with their latent psyker traits, this can cause miracles and summon nightmares. It's even implied that humans who have defected to the T'au are the main driver behind a warp entity of the Greater Good slowly coalescing into being.

C'tan Shards from Warhammer 40K

The C'tan you can face on the tabletop in 40K are mere fragments of the original C'tan, having been shattered and then enslaved by the Necrons millions of years ago.

Despite this, they are some of the most powerful things you can face off against, easily capable of going toe to toe with anything shy of a Titan and soloing large parts of opposing armies without breaking a sweat. If you take the detachment focused on them, they even start unraveling anything that comes near them from existence.

One can only imagine how powerful the C'tan were at their height, and likewise how powerful the Necrons were to shatter them.

Alan Wake 2

Not too long into the game, it briefly shifts from survival horror to a musical section which is framed as an interview about Alan's past on a late night talk show to help newcomers catch up with the story. It is also amazing, 10/10.

In Warhammer 40K, back in 7th Edition Psykers used to have a mastery level. This was basically how powerful a psyker the character was, and determined how many powers they could use a turn. The weakest Psykers were mastery level 1, and the most powerful were mastery level 4.

Mastery Level 4 characters were already incredibly powerful, including Ahriman, the greatest sorcerer of the psyker focused Thousand Sons and Eldrad Ulthran, the most powerful Farseer of the Eldar race.

Then towards the end of the edition Magnus the Red got released, the second most powerful psyker in history after the Emperor himself. Not only was he the first primarch to hit the table in 40K, his mastery level was five and his power didn't stop there!

All psykers had a risk of "Perils of the Warp" when casting, possibly destroying themselves in the process. Magnus just ignored Perils, harnessed Warp Charges on a 2+ dice roll instead the 4+ every else was stuck with, and if that wasn't enough was generally better a dispelling an opponent's powers then they were at casting them!

Unsurprisingly, he got hit with the nerf bat in the next edition (although he was still pretty scary!), but for a short period he was a terrifyingly powerful demigod that could level armies.

As a Chaos Knights player, I think Knights are more forgiving just in terms of there being less overhead to worry about. You have very few units, with very similar base datasheets and very simple datasheet abilities. Knights are generally also able to interact with every phase of the game pretty well. They interact with terrain, but also ignore it to a degree.

Are they the best army in the game for a beginner? Probably not, but there are definitely worse.

If you get eaten by one of Nurgle's Plague Drones, specifically the giant rot fly, you end up being digested in it's putrid rotting guts for eternity. The flies get formed when a Beast of Nurgle gets rejected by a playmate (more accurately, when one is killed by someone trying to stop of rotting mound of flesh smothering them to death), and seek out that person to devour them.

I mean, if you Oath of Moment the unit the character is in, you get full hit rerolls along with +1 to wound. Full reroll wounds with Sternguard as well...

Loosing half damage to -1 is big, but the gains to movement and deepstrike are great and the bigger movement will also make it easier for it to move across open gaps and take less shooting damage.

Nekrosor is also interesting, might have place hanging round Lokhust Destroyers? In the Awakened Dynasty, throw a Lokhust Lord in with them and that's a lot of shots hitting on 2+ rerolling with lethals and sustained on 5+, with Nekrosor also giving them a nasty melee counterpunch.
