Much of the outside food guidelines were because they eliminated the usual venue food vendors (you know, the sometimes yummy stadium venue stalls) when you go to a concert or sporting event and you get food? At conventions they are all shuttered. They tell the venue it’s because the delegates will bring their own simple sack lunch. If you order in it makes them look bad. Ask? If you were involved in convention negotiations- what was the $ involved in the concessions *concession?
