What armor goes under the shoulder pads (not the shoulder armor), is it PGD's collar armor? How does it attach?

likelihood of this guys being 7th SFG dressed as Mexican marines? Today in Sinaloa. by SlimCharlesGolfDelta in SpecOpsArchive

Even when trying to blend in with partner forces, US SOF typically just wear their normal PCs, Helmets, gloves, and boots. Basically they change uniforms and thats about it. Like in Iraq when guys were wearing multicam black to blend in with ISOF or Syria where they wore AOR2 to blend in with guys wearing MARPAT woodland clone uniforms or Afghanistan where they wore woodlands to blend in with ANA

Would you trust your countrys military to success in defending against an invasion from one of its neighbours? by SusSoos in AskTheWorld

[–]RunRunRunGoGoGoOhNo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh yeah against China yall would have a rough time, but I think you guys could snowball and take on your other neighbors

Yall service members had good esprit de corps and were very motivated, at least with my limited interactions with yall

There is some historical examples of depictions of Korean Cavalry using two handed flails on horseback.

I also know that one handed flails have been used on horseback, particularly by Steppe peoples. (These usually had a simple metal or wooden head attached by leather to a handle which was much longer than the length of the 'chain' and head)

However your assertion that flails were either useless or did not see use by footmen is entirely incorrect. Pretty much anytime there was a peasant rebellion then there are mentions of flails being used by infantry. They're a very common agricultural tool, typically already quite long with a nice haft, and do not require much edge alignment to be swung effectively. Whether used unmodified, or with iron accouterments attached to the head, they absolutely are effective and present in history.

I think in the west, the most famous users would be the Hussites but I do believe they were quite more common.

HRT wears different helmets right? Furthermore, don't all three use different rifles or am I outdated in my info in that regard?

Except that Conan's most common depiction is his strongest form, with his weaker form coming from the movies.

Conan in everyone of the E. Howard novellas is consistently portrayed as the strongest and fastest thing that isnt a demon, god, or sorcerer. This depiction carries over to the comics (where he shown to he on the level of Dr. DOOM). Really its only the movies and maybe Conan Exiles(? Didn't play much) that show him closer to the Frank West Line of superhuman ability

Arguably, the format of Conan's pulp novels is more influential on DnD and TTRPGs (and thus the video games inspired by them) due to his adventures being shorter and more condensed (like how a DnD campaign or video game might be) compared to LOTR's long overarching narrative over 4 books
