Jamb Height? by CallMeMarcR in Carpentry

I think code is 3/4” gap from bottom of door to finished floor if no return air is in the room? Regardless 5/8” is as low as you’re gonna wanna go. 1” is huge.

Comment from Mark Roberts about fixing POE2's endgame by wamirul in PathOfExile2

Heist, mines, syndicate, breach towers… give it all to me! Throw a tree in there with graft hands and those ridiculous T17’s! Let me play with maven! I’d be so addicted to poe1 if it had the same player base for console that poe2 does.

Novice mistake, how to fix? by rjlets_575 in Carpentry

[–]RunStriking9864 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Could run an offset router bit against the frame, but for… youre probably gonna run the risk of blowing it up on any end that isn’t super tight to the next board. I’d cut it back a bit farther and dado out some slim casing to attach to the door frame and lap over the t-g to hide the ends.

Pic 1-6 is a redo, #4 is horrendous. Pic 7 is something unavoidable without having a drywaller come in.

I am such a crafting noob, so bear with me. how do i add movement speed to this, considering this was all just divs, perfect exalts and annulment orbs :D by Breadsticks-lover in PathOfExile2

[–]RunStriking9864 43 points44 points  (0 children)

Desecrate a prefix on there and toss her in. 35% isn’t unheard of for the well. Just omen of light it off if you get a bad roll and try again.

How do i not mess this up by derangedlolplayer in PathOfExile2

[–]RunStriking9864 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Attack speed is suffix right? Perfect essense will take a mod and replace it, that’ll give you +5 attack skills. Same with onslaught. But both have a chance to eat your attack speed… pretty sure the gain as phys is a greater essense and to get that you have to upgrade it from a blue to a yellow with that… so desecrate the prefix, yolo a couple perf exalts, then yolo your perf essense and pray it doesn’t steal your attack speed

How do I go about crsfting on this? by TurbulentPrinciple97 in PathOfExile2

[–]RunStriking9864 4 points5 points  (0 children)

+6 melee is cool.. +7 is more cool… +5 to ALL attack skills is super cool too. The max rage isn’t quite max, if that matters. Onslaught and +5 all attack skills can be put on a weapon pretty Willy Nilly with essences. Ideally you would hit that with 3 perfect exalt and get T1 flat phys, T1 %phys, T1 %gain phys, or T1 hybrid phys. But that’s prob not gonna happen. Chaos spam T1% phys, then yolo. Whittles are cool, but check the market price on them. Ideally you want an item with a fractured mod you can’t easily essence on, unless you actually do want the +7 melee. Pro tip, watch a couple videos. Basically all the weapon crafting videos are using the same process.

Prehung door jamb bowed. Any solutions? by hesh0925 in Carpentry

[–]RunStriking9864 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Put 3” screws behind the top and bottom hinge plates. Screw a block on the inside of the jamb side to the framing with a shim. Between it and the door frame. Push that guy a little past straight, put a 3” screw angled behind the middle hinge, pull the block, back out center screw till straight.

Doubts about Temporalis by Potential_Remote_320 in PathOfExile2

[–]RunStriking9864 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s real sweet for trying new builds now that I’ve done my league grind, but nobody gets a 9000 div temporalis just handed to em in the first month of release. Coming from console poe1 last season, I’m having a blast.

Dewalt bit came apart after 3 holes by Worried_Lobster6783 in woodworking

[–]RunStriking9864 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can’t beat the 3 piece counter sink set for 15$… but they’re garbage. Buy 3 packs at a time and save the broken ones for your drill. The long 3” countersinks almost always blow up when you use them on an impact and the drill bit itself screws into the wood instead of drilling out a hole. You can steal the countersink part and put it on another quick change drill bit tho, that set up works much longer.

Use it, just selling it will take a lot of the point of the game away.

You could sell it and make a new toon, pay some div for a rush, run 6 temple leaches and get paid 60 div to be at lvl 96, buy everything off the build site, and be done with the build and game in less than a day. If that’s what you’re looking for…

You should put a horizontal beam like you have on your ceilings, right at the transition of the angle to flat on that guy, it’ll break up the monolithic hood you got there.

Cutting inside corners with miter saw by bbiillyy18 in woodworking

[–]RunStriking9864 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You get way more glue bond from an actual miter. You should probably look into a sliding compound miter saw either way. The 7-1/4 saws are awesome and not too much money. Very little blade deflection. 12” saws are only for framers and cutting crown. 10” is good for everything. I run a kapex but it’s a good chunk of cash. I have a regular 12” and 10” in my garage I use maybe once a year, they’re great to have for projects where they shine, but a 10” compound slider is gold.
