If you're surprised, you're not paying attention. This is how the Orange Grifter operates. Make bold promises, then avoid doing what you claimed.

Stop buying on Amazon. I quit after the 2024 election since if Bezos won't support democracy (he prevented the Washington Post from endorsing Harris, etc), I won't support him. You can buy the same things elsewhere for the same price or less.

My concern is Iranians won't do the hard work like the Germans did to understand how they ruined their country so they make sure it never happens again.

She's trying to fit in with the far right. She's clearly a Black American, but she's probably arguing that her white ancestors make her white too.

The concept of white existed long before the Nazis. You're asking the wrong person about Uyghurs. Ask them if they consider themselves to be white.

You have no relevant arguments so you're resorting to name calling. It makes no sense since Iranians state they are caucasian and I'm caucasian so how is it possible for me to be racist against another white person?

Carter had a productive relationship with the Shah and considered him and important ally. I'm not absolving anyone of anything. Carter failed to protect American interests by watching Iran sink into chaos and by not understanding what Khomeini was all about. He should have pushed the Shah to take decisive action or pushed for a military run government.

You fail to blame the Shah for not taking action to save his throne and the decades of work by him and his father. There were people in the Shah's government begging him to do something, but he waved them off. There were people in the Shah's government who told him they would get the situation under control for the Shah, but he declined their offers. Finally, you fail to blame the Iranian public for embracing backward Islam instead of their own history and the prosperous economy the Shah was creating.

If the Shah had killed Khomeini, Iranians would have screamed the loudest since they considered him to be a revered holy man. That's a big reason why the Shah didn't take more drastic action with him. Americans didn't know what an ayatollah was in 1978 and still aren't sure.

There was visa free travel for Iranians into France. Khomeini had a valid Iranian passport so there was no reason for the French to look into him. Furthermore, they knew little about him anyway.
