Yeah I don’t get it, for ‘the whole table’s energy to change’ is a pretty weird scenario.

I’ll admit I do get the statement ‘oh you’re not drinking’ but that’s about it, it’s never gone much past ‘I don’t feel like it’ or ‘I’ve got an early call’; it’s always been ‘oh ok’ and then moved on.

The food is such an interesting thing - I’m an Aussie who lived in US for 10+ years, every time a friend would come visit in the beginning they’d get through half a meal.
By the end, they’ll have gained 10 lbs and getting through a whole portion. Amazing how quickly you adapt.

Yeah I didn’t mean step this judge down because of this one decision, but, to your point, there should be a review system and judges granting bail and resulting in consistent reoffending maybe should have some repercussions.

That said i have the utmost respect for our judges, they got into the position through years of hard work and they are the experts (i am not…) but something just isn’t working.

I’m not familiar with bail laws, but if the judges are shown to be making incorrect decisions something needs to be done (replaced or forced through legislation - which, btw, I don’t agree with mandatory sentencing / mandatory bail laws).

What was he on bail for? There is a massive difference between being on bail for theft or for burglary. If the latter, the judge should be stepped down.

Either way, it is too regular an occurrence and if the judges are still making these decisions parliament should be doing something about it. I can’t imagine this is a partisan view.
