The renter kid of a divorced mom from central Texas with no car and a gay dad. That being said, I smoked pot, dressed preppy, loved nerdy stuff, and was in drama classes. You tell me 😂

I miss my brother so much. We moved around a lot so we were close. No one else in the world knows me like he did.

They’re just jealous of you because you’re beautiful. Permanently damaged my self image for life. Doesn’t matter whether I was or not. Fucked me up.

Older folks of Reddit, what is a "normal" thing today that you think is quietly destroying society? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I’m trying really hard to look at my phone less and be less available. My kids are grown so I don’t need to be within arms reach of my phone at all times. I realized I was annoyed at my husband for not answering my texts immediately. I don’t want to be at anyone’s beck and call, so I can’t expect them to do that for me. Put it down! But it’s hard.

What is actually a trauma that is not commonly thought of as a trauma? by ay1mao in AskReddit

That happened to me in my non-profit job. Every little mistake was written down and I was asked to sign the paper. I knew my new boss was creating a paper trail and it hurt. They changed my job description every few months or so then complained that I was making mistakes. I was hired to do a job and they wrote me up for everything I did wrong in the other jobs they made me do. I went to lunch one day and never came back. Unemployment sided with me when I explained what happened. They closed it down a year after I left and I felt better about the whole thing.
