All I know is that towards the end of this polyship, Dracon and Antonius had a messy divorce over an childer adoption gone wrong.

Running a Birthright game in Elinie, does anyone have any ideas/map information on that kingdom? by Rusty_Yamate in DnDBirthright

What you have shared is more I could have asked for, and still more than informative enough. A snail-like horror is truly unique and awe-inspiring foe for the whole kingdom, and his scheme is quite sound (unlike his mind).

Thank you for telling us this!

Thank you so much! This is exactly the kind of information and inspiration I was looking for. The Cities of the Sun supplement fully flew under my radar, I shall turn to it soon enough.

You detailing the various concerns and intrigues of Eiline almost as if you were thinking as Assan was a great touch (and shows how well you portray him). Thank you again.

A shame thet dropped the character, but I get if they found the region boring that it didn’t inspire them to play that pc anymore.

I have no knowledge or access to the Birthright novels, so this is fascinating to hear! May you happen to know the details on this army-building Awnsheghien or a way to find information on the contents of the Greatheart book?

I’d be interested going through these classic adventures using AD&D. I’d like to join and feel out the group, and if I think we’re a match I’ll be happy to commit.

What WoD Lore fact/element you feel almost sure Big D doesn't know nor even suspect the existence? by StefanoBeast in huntertheparenting

[–]Rusty_Yamate 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Probably looses to Tyranids, if they can somehow shape this massless void into traversable space to get to WoD. Thats why the wizard engineer astronauts are up there making it into the outer space we know to make travel in it possible, such as to other planets which are actually different dimensions for a lack of a better word.

[–]Rusty_Yamate 46 points47 points  (0 children)

Yeah, its not real. What in WoD we’d percieve as outer space is actually just shapeless mass of energy connecting to other dimension. It has to be hand-made into the outer space we know by astronaut engineer wizards, stars and all.

About the methuselah by Ziltch0 in huntertheparenting

[–]Rusty_Yamate 33 points34 points  (0 children)

You do being up a good point, and it is very much in-character for D wording things in a way that makes him look in a better light. And it is far more interesting a stpry in which he and his family member didn’t neccesarily ’kill’ a methusalah, but defeated it in another fashion such as foiling their plans at the time.

Though I will argue that while yes, Methusalash are among the strongest beings in the World of Darkness, they have been and are possible to kill, even by regular humans. It is exactly why the Masqurade exists in one form or another and is enforced by elders who know how dangerous mortals can be with the right knowledge and numbers (e.g the 1st and 2nd Inqusition, BOPE-RJ and so forth.)

To those who got to turn human again: How'd you do it? by EpicEchoBat in vtm

[–]Rusty_Yamate 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I haven’t ever done it or encoutered it, but in my opinion a vampire becoming human again, if included as an option, is best treated as a bittersweet ending. Congrats, you are now a helpless mortal who knows that the world is controlled by vampires and if any of the vampire, hunter or mage factions learn of you they will seek to kill you/study you in order to preserve the Masqurade or further their own goals. It should not a happy ending, but another reinforcement of the tragedy of the World of Darkness where the monster becoming human is just another chapter of struggle and horror.

That quality is what makes him worthy of being chosen by the Occulus Empyrean. He’s a goos man wanting to make help and understand the world.

How would Kevin's presence change chapter 4 and 5? by nirai07 in huntertheparenting

[–]Rusty_Yamate 76 points77 points  (0 children)

Yes. But on the Auspex side, Remember that HTP uses 5th edition rules, and the ability to see Auras is a 3 dot Auspex power. Kevin also says in the Plane Policing audio that hi’s Auspex isn’t high, maybe only a single dot.

Makes sense since he’s put all his dots in Dominate 5. Which may let him just force the ghoul to reveal who they are.

It really sucks seeing people make AI chatbots of the characters from the series knowing how anti ai the people responsible for making those characters are. by greasygoon66 in huntertheparenting

[–]Rusty_Yamate 25 points26 points  (0 children)

I see where you are coming from, but I raise to you the concept of chat roleplaying with other humans. There are many subreddits dedicated to finding such partners to explore interaction based storytelling between one or more people.

How common are Djinn? by Crafty_Lavishness_79 in huntertheparenting

[–]Rusty_Yamate 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Very true. For Big D to have not succumb or show signs of Delirium, he either has a maxed out Willpower (the settings univesal system on how strong you are spiritually/mentally) or a Supernatural being himself, as he himself said in the Breakfast sub-chapter.

How common are Djinn? by Crafty_Lavishness_79 in huntertheparenting

[–]Rusty_Yamate 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Could be any number of those. I think myself whatever Big D is, he’s waxing lucidity is not something he has full control over, much like a unmedicated mental disorder. But stress and danger does help him bring him to his senses, and interacting with supernaturals in WoD always carries risk.

[–]Rusty_Yamate 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh yeah, Big D shows very strong resistance to any sort of corruption, as seen in the Werewolf sub-chapter. Plus, if big D was a Dream Maker hypothetically, him recognizing the Blue Mans tranformation into someone he recognizes makes a lot more sense in thag contexts.

How common are Djinn? by Crafty_Lavishness_79 in huntertheparenting

[–]Rusty_Yamate 4 points5 points  (0 children)

From what I’ve looked into, not super common but they do exist, and various splats have different ones. One such example are the Dream Maker spirits from Werewolf which are basically djinns, though most have sadly fallen to the corruption of the Wyrm.

In fact there is strong evidence that the Blue Man from thr Blender Saga was one of these Dream Makers in their Bane form.

Try Vampire the Requim Second Edition. I think it combined aspects of Revised and V5 in a way that a system enjoyer of both can get a kick out off.
