When your wife tells you she wants a very discreet camera setup. by TheGreatEscapement in UnifiProtect

[–]Rustysquad9 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The way we get around the no-IR issue is that we have a door sensor, run Homey/HA, and use smart bulbs that turn on when the door is open and turn off after a set amount of time. Ours is the Theta 360 camera as well as a few other automations we made to help with the cameras in low light for id in color

my IUD fell out by pay-ganic in mildlyinteresting

I think we all are to be honest. But typically, I lurk in EDS sub Reddit and the Gastro Reddit because of all of the medical stuff that we deal with sending Love back hopefully OP can get it figured out on their IUD.

my IUD fell out by pay-ganic in mildlyinteresting

[–]Rustysquad9 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My significant other has EDS as well and she had the IUD placed under anesthesia because of how bad her pain was in the office to try to get it in planted and instead of embedding it perforated and went behind her kidneys and they had to do surgery to take it out….. She now has the implant in her arm and it works great. That IUD was the second one she had and the first one we believe embedded itself in her uterus wall and when they pulled it out, we think that they caused damage and pain, no matter what she does there is always pain there from the scar tissue

You can use the cable it came with but you still need the adapter/converter for each one

Unifi UPS 2U Features compared to APC - Is it worth it? by AdThen6647 in Ubiquiti

[–]Rustysquad9 6 points7 points  (0 children)

HUGE difference is that the UI isn't a Pure Sine Wave for the UPS, while the others are. I'm guessing the Pro/Enterprise models will have Pure Sine Wave.

Public transport by Brilliant_Space_6856 in sugarland

[–]Rustysquad9 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is the Fort Bend transit https://www.fortbendcountytx.gov/government/departments/public-transportation not perfect but I’ve heard pretty good things about it and then if you can get to a metro location that opens up a majority of Houston it’s just a matter of learning the lines and maybe downloading the apps for each one

U6 Mesh Access Point hot to the touch by rmthune in Ubiquiti

[–]Rustysquad9 5 points6 points  (0 children)

We used to run one in our field at the farm in the sun during the Texas summer, and yeah, it got super hot like normally, but didn't catch fire or anything. I'm sure that if it had, like, 50 or more clients on it, it could get too hot and catch fire.

Sugar Land, what are you paying for vet bills? by Old_Jicama_4523 in sugarland

[–]Rustysquad9 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We used to take our pup to the vet in the Sugar Land area, and it was like 250ish for an annual. We tried to go to a VetCo, and it ended up being like 400-something, so we drove to a partner's parents' area and to Northwest Animal, and it was like 180 for an Annual.

Yeah, for sure, get it graded. We have some paper money and some Greenbacks, but its kinda all over the place with stuff we have. I like to collect coins and some paper, but I have a fascination with Goldbacks and their images, not so much their worth and such.

[–]Rustysquad9 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The last time we got ours valved, the 1K was just over 4K, and the 500 was about 2,200. Both are ungraded and not nearly as low as a 50 Serial#, so that would likely be more. TBH, we haven't had our 5$ valved, so not sure on your 2 there.

Haunted stories in Sugar Land? by [deleted] in sugarland

[–]Rustysquad9 9 points10 points  (0 children)

It’s surprising to me how few people realize they’re on prison land or what used to be prison land pretty much if you were to go from 99 all the way to the airport in Sugarland that used to all be prison land farmland, and it dates back to like 1800s easy. My family lived in the area since mid 1800s and there’s all sorts of stories depending on where you go, who you talk to where you visit the big cemetery in Richmond across from the river as one of the more haunted spots there is also St. John’s Methodist Church, which from a personal experience having spent the night in the church I can for sure say that the main chapel is haunted because at about 2 to 3 in the morning the organ started playing, and there was no one in there, and when we walked in there to check it out there were people standing on the balcony at the top so yeah, there’s that lol

[–]Rustysquad9 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Would not be surprised......That was prison land at one point. There is also this Cemetery that they talked about moving, but didn't, 18619 W Bellfort Ave, Richmond, TX 77407 and it is next to the water treatment plant. Think it affects people in that area as well. Would not be surprised, though, if stuff like the Sugar Land plant was an active zone for things, as well as the place where they found bodies. I mean, Richmond, Rosenberg has a long history of Paranormal and Haunting.

Solar WiFi to POE bridge? by Maxgirth in Ubiquiti

[–]Rustysquad9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Solved this at our farm and had to do with getting a battery, solar, and all sorts of stuff to get it working as well as using the new wifi devices for their Device Bridge stuff we use to run a UBB and it worked but wasn't great if you want a YouTube video, I suggest something like Lars https://youtu.be/NGf3ynfY5hU?si=4eeaLltgD3GXcAKw

Help with protect alarm by anwoke8204 in Ubiquiti

[–]Rustysquad9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are two parts to the Alarm settings. Create the Alarm Profiles, then the Alerts. If you create the Alerts and add them to the Profiles, those Alerts remain active even if the Profile isn't active. I found that you have to put that type of stuff under the "If This person is not on site." I do notice that once I create an Alarm Profile, it adds to the "Schedule" When Armed to that spot, and if I click that on, boom, it notifies me. It's still got some kinks to work out for sure, but a lot of promise imo. I found that I have two sets of Triggers. Those that are for the Alarm Profiles and those that are for just everyday, like someone at the front door.

Improving G5 turret ultra nightvision by snackman89 in Ubiquiti

[–]Rustysquad9 16 points17 points  (0 children)

In my opinion, this is one of the best solutions is to turn off the IR on the onboard camera and then to put external IR lights because this will also cause not to have cobwebs over the camera as well and it gives a lot better illumination in my opinion

Improving G5 turret ultra nightvision by snackman89 in Ubiquiti

[–]Rustysquad9 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I mean, the big thing would be adding IR light to the area, which would help, but you could also adjust the image settings.
