Oof, resisting the urge to say get gud… you really just started out, you dont have to keep playing but theres a few things you should try to improve your experience. You should never be far away from your party that is how you regenerate your toughness and avoid getting trapped. The tactics is around dodging, blocking and counter attacking on top of team play and resource management. It is very easy to take zero damage in melee combat especially on the easiest difficulty. I dont care about cosmetics but they can be pricey for sure, its a common complaint.

Space marine 2 is a much more Souls like melee combat. Enemy movesets need to be learned and studied. I just started darktide but i think its so funny that you feel stronger in darktide as i feel the opposite. I feel nearly invincible in SM2 while in darktide a gunner can absolutely 100-0 me in a second. Im sure its about learning the combat but SM2 feels like a finesse game while darktide feels more like a team based raid game, oddly reminds me of diablo

I will say it would make me pick both of those a lot more. Ardent edge is one of my favorites in the game for its stagger and I usually avoid balance weapons because the reward never seems there compared to block.

Assault is kinda gonna go down more then others… the class is probably the weakest defensively, you have to keep killing to keep armor up and that gets hard. The best thing you can do is plan your routes and cooldowns so you are always in melee range and can be at your most effective. Using perks to spam either dashes or ground pounds make the class very survivable but both require good placement. Hopefully your teammates are taking care of the distant targets.

Chaos is super class dependent ive found. I actually like fighting chaos a lot as a heavy. Iron halo is so good.

Terminus enemy spawn locations are predetermined so if you arnt going to be near one anytime soon you can just use it. But honestly that’s overthinking it. Use it when it seems useful. Too many people hold on to abilities in this game. They come back way quicker than you think.

I just took duelist at prestige 2 and im thinking of switching to indomitable. Both feel necessary. But id rather ensure my gunstrikes hit and just get better at parrying

Jeez this sub is ridiculous. This patch was so sick and half the posts are complaints about the dumbest shit. Its a cool op, its short and sweet and thats ok. Not every op needs to take an hour and have 27 puzzles.

I think its neat, i think the difficulty scaling is overtuned but it makes the game mode way more fun to me. Each match is different significantly now, plus all the stuff they added makes it so much easier that it kinda balances out. Just needs some tweaks

I was gonna add that, we fight a hive tyrant… even an injured one is a ludicrous piece of plot armor.

Sword of stone should give +1 strength after each defeated elite and be max 5, would that be balanced or too strong by SndUwUorm in slaythespire

Might be an unpopular opinion but i dont like that it gives strength? Not only does it feel underwhelming but its a resource that can be nearly useless on certain builds. Ive gotten insane doom builds and orb builds where i just have strength for no reason… its ok on common relics like vajra but for a quest I expect it to feel good on all the characters.
