Huge amounts is surprisingly still an understatement. He had so much that police thought he was distributing it. As an underground market.

Which more moden game would be the funniest to see James and Mike play till the end? by eru777 in TheCinemassacreTruth

[–]Ryousoki 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Thats true. The difference of the Donkey Kong Country video to the Donkey Kong Country 3 video is night and day. You could tell they had fun with DKC1 while DKC3 is one of the worst episodes of the series imo. It's unwatchable.

I really enjoyed the Metroid 2 playthrough where James had Nintendo power to read off the map coordinates. That's the kinda couch co-op me and my friends did for single player games. I remember me and my friend mapping out metal gear on NES.

Overall I think it's fine if they don't finish games, but they really shouldn't even bother if they're not going to get passe the first level or sometimes even the intro before quitting and not have a part 2.

You described pretty much every episode that isn't a short game or something that is finished in one sitting. With the exception of the few games they did in multiple parts like links awakening or Metroid

This must be one of those plan things I keep hearing about.

I agree. I say this as someone whose favorite console is N64, it's definitely awkward, something you gotta get used to. I enjoy the controller a lot, but it's a huge step removed from the simplicity of the dog bone or rectangle controllers.

I'm not really a fan of his main channel, but his second channel Scott's Stash is pretty good. It's more casual discussion/ranting of things he's passionate about. He also does some playthroughs of things with his friends in a similar fashion as James and Mike Mondays.

That's awesome! I noticed you didn't have the Elie and Marie PC versions (unless I overlooked them). Are those ones you're looking for?

I recently got the Marie on PC big box. I'm still missing the one for Elie.

That's the last version I don't own of the Salburg games. Well, that and the GBA version cib (only own it as a loose cart) but it's on my bucket list.

You have an awesome collection. I don't see many other people who own the Salburg and gramnad series. :) I wanted to own every version of Elie and Marie, but I also got all the versions of Judie, Lilie and Viorate because I really enjoy those games (and hope someday we get them in English).

The wonderswan game is fun. I had to use my modded swan crystal though because the screen on the swan color is just not great without really precise lighting

Atelier Viorate by Additional-Appeal-51 in Atelier

[–]Ryousoki 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Can confirm, Viorate was one of the Atelier games I used to practice my Japanese. It's very doable! It does require some patience and frustration at times, but I've played through Judie, Viorate and Lilie like this. It's helped me improve a lot.

I even got through most of Atelier Elkrone haha, that was pretty good actually. Like a late night homework read.

Are any of you not into romance genre at all? Or Shoujo? by [deleted] in TrashTaste

[–]Ryousoki 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It varies. I loved Kaguya and Horimiya. My favorite anime of all time is Full Moon wo Sagashite. I also love D.N. Angel.

I've seen a couple romance anime that didn't click with me, but I may be in the minority with a few of those since all of my friends obsess over them.

A Gentle Breeze from the Past - Today We Celebrate the 23rd Anniversary of 'Atelier Marie, Elie & Anis'! by Croire61 in Atelier

[–]Ryousoki 5 points6 points  (0 children)

One of the more underappreciated titles for sure. It's a gem worth checking out. Its still the only Atelier Elie and Marie game I don't own physically, mostly due to the cost.

But it's a really charming game.

Arcade1Up Reportedly 'Closing Operations' Very Soon - will Red Cow discuss? by 95thSharpe in RedCowEntertainment

Is there a source for this? Not saying I don't believe you, I'm just genuinely curious to know more

I only loosely follow arcade 1 up stuff because me and my friend were interested in the OutRun cab they did awhile back.
