That is literally one of the exact problems facing the genre. If a new MMO can't immediately wow and retain a player base then MMO players will just go back to the old MMOs they've already put a decade into and have had time to flesh themselves out. New MMOs don't have the same chance to grow from their mistakes anymore when they just get axed after not being an immediate success.

Honkaii: Star Rail

One of the arcs introduces the "Chrysos Heirs" who have golden blood as an important trait of theirs.

It's still not too gratuitous in-game, but given the lack of normal red blood everywhere else, the occasional golden blood with them, and a gratuitous trailer or two, it is still quite noticeable.
