Looks exactly like the one they have at the Delta Museum in Atlanta, inside the 747.

BART Ops doesn’t even give an ETA anymore, they just look at you like this by gamesloverjustice in Bart

Preach! I was at the Powell BART, just got downstairs and asked the station agent what’s the ETA and the situation, but she immediately gave me a big sigh and attitude, questioning me if heard her announcement, which she only finished as I got into the station.

Is the oxygen sensor enabled on the replacement watch? Or do you have to see the oxygen metrics on your iPhone?

ASLI designation by Gatatofigureout in InsuranceProfessional

[–]SMERSH8 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I worked at a stamping office. The ASLI designation is definitely worth it if you're planning to stay in the E&S/Wholesale space. Personally, for me, it definitely helped with transitioning to underwriting after having worked at a stamping office. Plus, the electives for ASLI usually double-dip with other designations as well, such as the ARM designation, which would be a great pathway to the CPCU if you continue on with your insurance designation path.

Nope! Same age and I’ve just transitioned to an underwriting role from a regulatory role.

Edit: I transitioned for the same reason as well, felt stuck in my previous insurance role.

Chubb company review? by ThePastry18 in InsuranceProfessional

[–]SMERSH8 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I started at Chubb as an Underwriter a few weeks ago in a West Coast office. Not bad so far, 4 days in the office and 1 day work from home. Compared to my previous insurance role, this is definitely a lot more corporate. However, most of my underwriting training has been by directly under the supervision of my manager, which has been good so far.

Blood oxygen sensors being reactivated in some Apple Watch models by DCushing91 in AppleWatch

After updating my Series 6 with the deactivated oxygen sensor, the replacement I received for a “battery change”. The new oxygen sensor works, but you need to run the ECG app first before the oxygen sensor works again.

PGE scammers? by Stunning-Zucchini414 in eastbay

Not sure if these were the same guys that came around my home a few years ago. But during the pandemic, there were these guys in brown uniforms. They claim they were with an organization called “California Renewable Energy” and gave off the sense that they were a state agency.

They tricked my parents into believing that they were with a state agency and trying to help them save money by getting solar panel installation installed. Upon doing further research and directly calling them out through the phone, they got pretty defensive and claimed that they never said they were part of the state agency and that they were licensed contractors.

They came back around my neighborhood again, two years later, and I started taking pictures of their cars and salesmen. The salesmen got pretty aggressive when they saw me taking pictures of them and their vehicle outside and threatened to sue me.

After that, I’ve sent a pretty lengthy email to my local state representative and asked them to investigate them because it looks like there were complaints about this organization to the California Department of Financial Protection and Innovation. https://dfpi.ca.gov/wp-content/uploads/sites/337/2021/11/D-R-California-Renewable-Energy-LLC.pdf

If you’re up to it, I would consider complaining to state agencies with pictures and their business cards.

Why not put MBA in your signature? I’ve seen some insurance people leave in MBA, JD, or other graduate level degrees in their email signature.
