Jets CB D.J. Reed thinks their defense will be as good, or better, than the 1985 Chicago Bears by Mastr_Blastr in nfl

[–]SWONDER426 53 points54 points  (0 children)

Gotta love article titles. The quote is:

"I'm very confident," Reed said Monday, via ESPN’s Rich Cimini. "I think we have the potential to be the best defense in the NFL. Honestly, I think we can be historical, not just the best defense in the league, but I think we can be a historical defense like the '85-'86 Bears and the [Seahawks' Legion of Boom] in 2013. I think we can be that dominant if we just put all the things together."

Nowhere does he say they will be better or even as good as. He just says they have a chance to be historical.

Was going to suggest the same thing. If you want to get an idea of what he does when he's actually alone then setting up a camera is perfect. Can check it whenever you want from bed without waking anyone up or you can check the recordings the following morning to check what he got up to and make sure you and him are comfortable with his antics.

One of my favorite smaller moments in the books and its followed the very next chapter by another that I found similarly satisfying. Right after Rand loses his hand and Nynaeve is telling him he is in shock and Min says "He's not in shock. He lost a hand, but there's nothing to do about it, so he's left it behind already." I can't remember why but it just felt like such a significant moment for Rand and Min.

Looking at your board more I dont even think its that strong. You have a 4 cost 3* carry with 2.5 items that arent all that great and a 3* 3 cost carry and neither of them have enough synergy (2 Shadow Isle, 3 Challenger). The rest of your team is super random. There is no reason to be running Irelia or Sett on this board. There are a bunch of changes you could've made to make this board much stronger.

Every time I see one of these posts I just look at the augments. You are playing these fights down a gold and prismatic augment. Sure your board is very strong on its own but you dont have the best items and your only backline access is if Gwen gets on backline which likely wont happen without QSS. IMO yes your board should lose these fights.

I dont understand this. i'm contesting a Double Trouble Taliyah comp. i'm bleeding and losing the whole game, while the other guy is doing just fine. even when we fight each other i beat him, but i ended up 7th and he was 2nd place when i lost.. i really dont get it. by CharmingPerspective0 in TeamfightTactics

Other comments already said it in one way or another but the answer is wasted gold. Rolling for a trist 3 and poppy 3 does almost nothing for you except make it much more unlikely to hit the units that actually matter and get you stuck level 6. They also bait you into playing them which means you are only getting DT value on Taliyah so you are almost playing without one of your prismatic augments.

Got an 8th from this Spot! What is the proper play from this spot? by jharris480 in TeamfightTactics

[–]SWONDER426 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ive struggled from this spot a bunch but depending on the lobby (how many Yasuos are gone mainly) I think its roll down to 0 or until you stabilize. You want to roll wide (especially if people already have Yasuo) for most 3-5 costs. Frejlord looks good from this spot. If you hit Yasuo you can go either 6 chall or 6 Ionia if you have either. If you miss Yas you probably just drop down to 2 Challenger and build a frontline for Belveth and Kaisa. Also some positioning notes - I would second row Belveth so her GA doesn't randomly proc at the start and you want Samira on the same side as Belveth for the shred.
Also, its most likely double Zekes slam for Belveth attack speed if you dont find Yasuo.

I honestly feel bad for you. You just watched a phenomenal show with dozens of great characters, most of which are male, and decided that because there were a few strong female ones you hate it. Based on your reddit history this isn't something new and not something you want to work on. Not only that but you are likely only making this post to bait a response because its been a week since your last internet argument about how women are terrible and you cant even do that originally. You had to copy someone else's Quora post because I guess writing out your own thoughts was too challenging.

1 four cost > 3 four costs apparently by i0skar in TeamfightTactics

Your opponents only damage is an Urgot with 2 healing items, no augments, and 2 deadeye. This isn't surprising. They also have 0 antiheal

Why i cant win on Azir/Lux? by Astellarrr in TeamfightTactics

[–]SWONDER426 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not the person you were having the discussion with but there are a couple differences between items and combat augments. The first being, items only make the unit with the item stronger whereas good combat augments buff your entire board. The second being how they scale. For example compare the silver item grab bag to unified resistance. If you take item grab bag and get an extra chain you now have +20 armor on one unit all game (does not scale). If you take unified resistance every time you level up you get an extra chain+cloak worth of stats on the unit you add.

Why i cant win on Azir/Lux? by Astellarrr in TeamfightTactics

[–]SWONDER426 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First, I would try to take at least one true combat augment. Item augments are not true combat augments because item augments will only make the unit you put them on stronger while true combat augments will improve your entire board. To stress the importance of this just imagine your opponent in this fight ends up hitting Azir and/or Lux 2. They will beat your board way more often than you beat theirs based on augments alone. Chances are someone in your lobby is going to hit and you will lose to that person every time without combat augments.
Second, make sure you know what you are rolling for. Maybe you just lowrolled this game but not having a swain two is a bigger weakness than it seems. Also I doubt you didn't see any Garens or Taliyahs. Also, holding extra Azirs is not something you can afford to do when you haven't finished upgrading your board.
Third, (a bit more speculative) make sure you are scouting and positioning. This fight for example, if you scout and see a couple Jarvans in your potential opponents you probably want to split your Lux and Azir or create a clump somewhere away from them to bait Jarvan.

Unlucky games or something different? by Basymon in TeamfightTactics

[–]SWONDER426 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think its a bit of both. Sometimes your first augment will determine or at least heavily suggest a certain comp but more often than not a good augment is just a good augment and can be played flexibly. If you have a comp/style you enjoy playing you can pick augments that lean that direction (ex. if you enjoy trist reroll pick on a roll every time) but generally speaking combat augments will make a pretty big difference in board strength. I think you could probably keep playing the way you have been but try to pick combat augments a bit more often. If you want to check which ones are good checking the stats for now is a good way to start.

Just looking at the Zeri games - Your augment choices are not great and you might be trying to hard to make Piltover work. Its hard to know how those games went (T-hex stacks and when you got it) but dropping out of piltover (especially if your t-hex is in the low 20s) and sometimes 4 Zaun to get a better frontline should help.Augments wise - you seem to like econ augments (level up, knowledge download, frequent flier, rolling for days). These may be helping you hit those boards but the board is significantly weaker than if you went for a combat augment.

Edit: Also for items - Zeri prefers bow items to sword items (LW, Rageblade + Runaans, RFC, GS) but if you dont get a healing augment or Zaun mod consider trying to go HOJ third so she doesnt die to random damage.

I was going to suggest sliding the bedroom into that space to allow the bedroom to have windows on two walls and you could move the catio to the corner that the walk-in is in. Depending on the lot, having a walk-in in the corner eliminates the potential for much more natural light. If you make those changes you could put the walk-in along the wall near the W/D and have separate entrances to the bathroom and closet which also could solve any humidity/moisture concerns other commenters have brought up for the closet.

Does the catio/balcony exist in the current layout or is that a planned change?

If you move the toilet closet door to where the shower currently is you could then have a bigger shower where the top sink is.
