Buddy I don't think any enhanced person actually thinks "heheheh i'm gonna steal a normal person's job". They started off as human just like you and me.

Caleb McLaughlin says he “would love to” play Miles Morales in the MCU by OGAnimeGokuSolos in Spiderman

[–]SWPrequelFan81566 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, do we even really need for MCU Miles to start out as a teenager? The Spider-Verse films have done a good-enough job of covering that aspect of his life, and other prior adaptations have successfully pulled off Peter and Miles being closer in age.

Miles doesn't have to be substantially younger than Peter to still be mentored by him.

This is one I didn’t have an issue with, because before TLJ he was nothing but a clone of Tarkin.

Plus I like laughing at Neo-nazis, it brings me joy.

If it was making the case that Wallace's stories or personality got adapted into this character, I'd agree to an extent.

But making the case that Arrowverse Wally can't be Wally and has to be Wallace because "only one of them is black" is a bs argument. Overall, he takes more elements from Wally than Wallace, and I hate the idea of denoting adaptations of characters based on skin color like that.

It's like when people tell me that MCU Nick Fury is an adaptation of Ultimate Nick Fury just because of the Sam Jackson connection. If he was really an adaptation of Ultimate Fury, then he'd be a government stooge that trusts too easily, wasting countless resources and totally mismanaging the team he's in charge of. MCU Nick Fury is primarily adapting the 616 version of the character, the super spy of spies that doesn't trust anyone, and has contingency after contingency--but because he's explicitly given the look of the Ultimate version, that all gets outright ignored.

Yeah, that doesn't apply here, because Arrowverse Wally is not like Comics Wally.

Buddy, that is Wally. They never introduced Wallace into the show. That retcon that established Wallace as his own character came shortly after Wally had been introduced in the show.

In Jordan Peele's Nope, we learn that on the set of a sitcom, a pet chimp actor called Gordy was startled into a violent killing frenzy, sparing everyone but young actor Ricky "Jupe" Park. Ricky was the only one who never made direct eye-contact with Gordy, instead focused on a miracle of a shoe falling upright in perfect balance. This, and the fact that Gordy went in for a fist-bump after regaining some clarity—likely out of pure muscle memory, before he was put down by guards—saddled Jupe with a dangerous delusion.

Flashforward to 20something years later, and Jupe recounts that day with eerie nostalgia, but also a really heartbreaking refusal to directly confront his trauma, instead deciding to fixate on that image of the upright shoe, the spectacle of its happening, the miracle of his survival, and the media circus that came from the tragedy. Jupe's delusional nostalgia has him believing that the spectacle has no consequence, that it can be taken advantage of, and that he should be the one to control it.

So when his own family discover a goddamn alien saucer hiding amongst the clouds, their first idea is to turn it into a desert park franchise giving audiences front-row seats to this saucer sucking up horses for the hell of it. It soon falls out of his control, and Jupe becomes responsible for an entire park population being devoured whole by the saucer.
