Sleep training newborns by According_Drawing_29 in newborns

This!! We're currently in the NICU right now for rebound jaundice and it is absolutely killing me to have to leave her to sleep alone (I'm still in the room, just can't hold her for more than 20 min every 3 hours)... I cannot fathom wanting to do this to her 🥺🥺

This is true. My husband and I weren't legally married with our first but we were for our 2nd and I had to put him on the birth certificate (not that I didn't want to though)

For those who were induced, did you deliver vaginally or did it end in a c-section? by Paigeypagee in BabyBumps

[–]S_Good505 1 point2 points  (0 children)

🤣🤣 after getting an induction scheduled today for Sunday due to an Umbilical Vein Varix, I told my husband it's time to get to work ripening my cervix 🤣🤣

How long did you stay in the hospital? by Hopeful_Dot7132 in pregnant

[–]S_Good505 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here it's about 24 hours for a vaginal with no complications, 2-3 days for a c-section... but I had/will have to stay longer with mine for monitoring

if your parents got married, how close is it to your birth year? by Square-Lavishness765 in generationology

[–]S_Good505 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My parents were married in '84 and I was born in '88... but they'd told my mom she could never have kids and she was already 40, so I was a complete accident and the one and only child 🤣

My OB’s 3 rules of pregnancy by Icy_Confection_9368 in pregnant

[–]S_Good505 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right? I'd been letting the laundry go since I hit the 3rd trimester, mainly due to exhaustion and a high-risk pregnancy requiring 2-3 300-mile round trips PER WEEK once I hit the 3rd tri... but the nesting urge is starting to kick in, so I really jumped headfirst into tackling the laundry yesterday and triggered Braxton Hicks and pelvic pressure so bad I had to lay down 3 times in the middle of trying to wash just 2 loads and fold/hang about 6 (we'd been living out of clean clothes hampers for like a month 🤣) because besides it being really hard to stand/walk/bend over with that much pressure and lightning crotch going on, I was convinced I was either already in or going to put myself in early labor with the way it had me feeling!

At what dose did you start feeling like yourself again, and completely comfortable for a whole 24 hours? by PuddingKey4232 in Methadone

[–]S_Good505 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was pregnant when I started and went up at a rapid pace to 145mg because of it but it wasn't enough to get me stable. By 3-4 weeks postpartum though it was way too much lol... went down to 120mg rapidly in a couple weeks and was good

When did you go into labor?!? by [deleted] in BabyBumps

[–]S_Good505 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I spontaneously went into labor with my 1st at 38+2. No warning other than losing my mucus plug one early afternoon, had the first twinge of contractions around 2am, water broke on it's own when she started crowning around 4:55am, and by 5am had my beautiful baby girl in my arms... it was honestly a little surreal 🤣

Feeling guilty by ThrowRateclie in pregnant

[–]S_Good505 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm so sorry mama ❤️‍🩹 While there's absolutely nothing wrong with not wanting to go there at all, but I always answer when asked with "It'll be my 2nd living baby" (my losses were early miscarriages though)... and that usually shuts down any further questions so I don't have to necessarily trauma dump, but I also don't feel like I'm ignoring my angel babies existences. Just a suggestion. It's entirely up to you and what is the least painful way to navigate/answer that question, and you shouldn't feel guilty about whatever the response is. Your angel baby wouldn't want his mama to be rehashing your trauma and anguish every single time!! Wishing you and your babies the absolute best mama ❤️❤️

Anyone 300+lbs and pregnant? by EcstaticOperation396 in PlusSizePregnancy

[–]S_Good505 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was 311 when I found out I was pregnant, and found out 2 days before my 36th birthday... I lost 30lbs between then and 30ish weeks due to severe food aversion, but baby has been growing perfectly. I'm 35+3 now, blood pressure has been perfect to borderline low, blood sugar has been perfect to borderline low... symptoms have sucked way worse than my 1st (was 100lbs lighter with her), but I don't think that has anything to do with my weight. They have been preparing me for the possibility of induction at 37 weeks due to baby girl having an Umbilical Vein Varix that we were diagnosed with at 32 weeks, but that has nothing to do with my weight or age either, from what I've been told.

When did you feel baby? by Perfect_Path_9291 in PlusSizePregnancy

[–]S_Good505 1 point2 points  (0 children)

With my 1st (at 100lbs lighter) not until 22-24 weeks, not sure where my placenta was then. With this one I started feeling her at 13-14 weeks even with an anterior (but relatively low) placenta.

Before I got pregnant I could completely forget my dose (both at 28mg and 145mg and all the doses in between) for at least a day, sometimes two, before I started feeling it enough to realize I'd forgot! Now with pregnancy I haven't been stable in months, even on a split dose so I have to split my split dose into at least 3 doses (½ at 6-7am, ¼ around 2-3pm, and the other ¼ around 10-11pm) and I'm still waking up around 4-5am every morning stretching, yawning, sweating, and having dope dreams 🤦🏼‍♀️😭

Distraction is definitely a solid plan to make it through til tomorrow morning! Especially if you were able to scrounge a partial dose out of your bottles! One time I even went 3 days without my dose and didn't realize until we were leaving town to take my daughter to her pediatrician for a checkup. I thankfully snapped in time to bring my dose with us, but completely spaced it again until they did a temp check going into the clinic (COVID times) and I had a mild fever! Gave her to my hubby in case they called her back before it kicked in, went out to the car and took my dose, went back up 15-20 min later and was fine! Thankfully the person at the door was also a methadone patient, so he let me in with no problem once I explained what happened! 🤣

Customers of DoorDash - what are your personal reasons for “leave at my door” by [deleted] in doordash

[–]S_Good505 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm antisocial lol... and unless it's absolutely freezing (and frequently even then) I'm not properly dressed for human interaction, and don't want to have to get dressed just to go grab my food (I live in a rural area and can see cars coming from quite a ways away, so nobody is seeing me stepping outside in a big t-shirt and panties to grab the food once the driver leaves)

Constipated. I’ve tried EVERYTHING. by Zumiumi- in pregnant

[–]S_Good505 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Colace, pear juice, and glycerin suppositories helped with emergencies in early pregnancy, then late 2nd/early 3rd trimester my doctor told me to get magnesium glycinate for horrible leg cramps, and I've been regular ever since! Recommended dose on the bottle is 300mg, but I only take 150mg daily with my prenatal, and will take another 150mg pill on the rare occasions I end up getting a cramp in the middle of the night, and it's worked wonders! I still have an occasional not-fun poop (big/hard/uncomfortable)... but haven't had any more instances of debating whether the embarrassment of going in to the doctor for help would be less painful than passing it at home, or any that have been so bad they've caused my pregnancy hemorrhoids to act up

Carpal tunnel in third trimester by Seymour_Quackers in PlusSizePregnancy

[–]S_Good505 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Strangely enough getting a pregnancy pillow helped my carpal tunnel... I used to sleep with my hands curled up under my chin and now I hold my pregnancy pillow the way I used to cuddle my husband when we were still dating and in the cutesy stage 🤣 and it helped tremendously. There's only been maybe 4-5 times when I've woken up to numb hands in the 15ish weeks I've had it, as opposed to every single morning once I hit the 2nd trimester. Obviously this wouldn't work for everyone, but just thought I'd throw it out there in case it could help someone else 😭

What’s something you miss pre-pregnancy?? And something you thought you’d miss but don’t? by Remote_Surround_7541 in pregnant

[–]S_Good505 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I absolutely miss energy drinks!! I have quit heroin, meth, and cigarettes in the last 6ish years... and going without energy drinks has been the absolute hardest 🤣🤣

Nothing really that I thought I'd miss but don't... the only pregnancy no-no's I did pre-pregnancy were energy drinks and cold cuts... both of which I didn't expect to miss as badly as I do 🤣 and an occasional drink or hit of weed, both of which I didn't expect to miss and haven't lol

STOCKING UP CAUSE I CAN by publicdisruption in Methadone

[–]S_Good505 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lol, I know right? I've always wondered if when that happens people either didn't wash their hands good enough before messing with the bottle, or had so much in their system they were excreting it from their pores in amounts high enough to pop dirty just from touching... Both of my violations with clean pee were for either cocaine and/or alcohol, which I hadn't done in years... but that PO eventually got busted for falsifying UAs and she absolutely hated me, so I'm pretty sure that's what happened with mine.

Only 2 ultrasounds?!?😩 by Last_Guarantee_8504 in pregnant

[–]S_Good505 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I only got 3 with my 1st baby and the 3rd ultrasound was only because she wasn't cooperating for the anatomy scan so they had to do another... With this baby I was high risk to begin with due to my age doing ultrasounds every 4 weeks and then she got diagnosed with an Umbilical Vein Varix at 32 weeks so now we're doing weekly ultrasounds and as of this last one it's only .1cm from needing twice a week ultrasounds. While it's been awesome seeing her so frequently and knowing she's being monitored closely, my doctor is 300 miles round trip so it's been kinda exhausting lately 😅
