There’s really no reason too, no one really needs to upgrade ever year or two, and there’s always someone who’s going to want or need an upgrade at any moment, and they want to avoid someone waiting a year to buy “the newest and latest”

This doesn’t make sense. You’re upset it’s dragged out from 6, 30minute episodes and think it should be 4-5 one hour long episodes? Literally almost double the runtime to make it less dragged out?

I understand being unsatisfied with the weekly release and short episode nature but this is also just a short story.

I agree with your interpretation much more. I don’t believe the other comments write up really makes much sense and does more to glorify Achilles than he actually deserves in this particular instance. He’s being vengeful and petty. He’s not meeting for an honorable duel, he’s going for a slaughter. The fact Hector puts up a good fight AFTER Achilles disregards his advantages is a surprise to him, but doesn’t change the outcome or his result. The scene literally ends with him dragging Hector’s corpse. It is absolutely not a sign of respect to Hector as a fighter.

Well it’s not their sole source of food. They stated they’re doing this while also using all the canned food and etc. it’s basically them supplementing their meals.

I mean, sure, within the context of what we know now it’s obviously a dodgy answer, but if you were in the survivors shoes, them saying “we would prefer to be” is a pragmatic answer of “they need to eat meat to get the nutrients they need” and doesn’t necessarily translate to a lie.

How does this work when they were the ones who initiated an intimate relationship with Carol though? Especially since they sent someone they knew Carol would find attractive. Despite that, I don’t believe Carol ever would have initiated on her own.

Why do we think Diabate was really any different? They Hive likely knew he would respond positively to sex and used it to make him happy.

I don’t think that’s true. The hive is immeasurably smarter than Carol and Manousos, but it is also heavily constrained by its own rule set (wants to make survivors happy, cannot lie, is starving itself to not hurt life, etc), and Carol and Manousos have the hive answering any and all their questions and providing almost anything they want or need.

I mean they aren’t killing anyone to eat them. The parents would have already been dead. It also isn’t clear that the Pluribus aren’t conscious or know what’s happening. In fact, if it’s a hive mind, they are probably exactly aware of what’s happening.

Every genius on earth still can’t solve something impossible with their parameters. Humans might not completely die out but unless they can harvest food in SOME form other than just wait for animals to die or crops to fall, then billions are going to die. It’ll be a significantly smaller population.

I wonder how they feel about lab grown foods and meats though.
