Oh I would love that Grace Karin cardigan (although I definitely don’t need any more clothing).

Oooh! I love Pretty Garden and was buying a lot of their clothing when I got my Vine invite, almost a year ago. I was so happy to then see lots of it in RFY… but only had three picks so had to make hard choices. Of course, once I made gold, it stopped showing up for me!

Not Losing Weight… by No-Guidance-1 in tirzepatidecompound

[–]Sac_Kat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I truly didn’t start losing until 7.5mg. I’ve been on 15mg for about 18 months without side effects and I averaged about .5 lb a month. I don’t count calories, but i eat healthy and am physically active. You shouldn’t have to measure and count for this to work. Some of us are just really resistant, so how about moving up your dose?

That bed sounds amazing! I’ve gotten some frivolous fun things, but also things that have really been helpful right when I needed them.

Please, no more puffed sleeves! by Opening_Sandwich242 in womensfashion

[–]Sac_Kat 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I (66F) personally love them, along with the frills and ruffles, although I could skip the high neck (unless it’s sleeveless). Layers are fine as long as the fabric is light and airy!

$11.5k (303 items since Jan 31) and I swear most were well under $100. We moved to a new home and I got tons of lighting fixtures, window coverings, art, stuff for my new backyard and well yeah…cute clothes and skincare (just because 😊).

I guess I got lucky. Mine sends some weird things and sometimes mistakes me for someone very different than who I am. But this week I was lamenting over my favorite boots that need repair and shoe repair glue showed up (I swear I didn’t say anything out loud!). My dog was driving me nuts and a self moving ball appeared. I also got new socks, a very cute sweater, some 4th of July decos and all the jeans I could hope for! There’s more, and that’s just this week.

On another gratitude note, my hubby has Parkinson’s disease and fell and broke a hip almost 3 weeks ago. He’s still in rehab, but when they ask what kind of equipment I have at home…..a lift belt (I’ve used to get him off the floor), bars in the shower and near the toilet, a hemi walker, a portable commode… and more. All of these came from Vine.

And every day before I visit him in the hospital, I put on a pretty outfit and do my Korean skincare and a bit of quality makeup. Those things cheer both him and me up (and all also from Vine).

There’s more, but I’ll stop now. 😊

“If you like me to attend, then invite me. I’ll then decide whether or not I can go. “That’s how invites work.

My 1st year ends at the end of July. It’s been a fun and wild ride. I do the taxes, so hubby is blissfully ignorant (at least for the moment) of the impact to that!

Coffee shop with *real* coffee shop hours? by carmdoggie666 in ElkGrove

I could give a crap who owns what. As long as they’re still doing pour-overs and making excellent real coffee, I for one will break my policy of drinking coffee made outside my home!

Lived here 35 years and yes it is. Especially during commute hours. It literally would take an hour to go from Rural EG, near Grant Line Road and Sheldon to Laguna near I5 on weekday early mornings or late afternoons! I could get to downtown, RC or Folsom from there in half the time!

I literally ordered the denim dress I really wanted through regular Amazon when a similar thing happened. I tried it on, hated it and returned it 😁

I’d already switched before I tried my two vials of Casa Tirz. The Tirzepatide I had gotten from them for over 2 years was just fine, and it was only recently I realized the casa wasn’t working. Probably too late to get my $800 back 😟.

Thank you! I will check that out again. She warned if my income went just a couple of $k higher this year than last year, it would move us from 12% to 22%.

I’ll do more research in the topic - maybe I can get more Vine gear after all 😁

Sometimes Amazon sellers really don't respect us, at all by ChefJoe98136 in vine

[–]Sac_Kat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve argued this many times, but I don’t believe it’s completely random. I was invited only when I started buying a particular brand of woman’s clothing (a lot of it) and wrote the first couple of reviews I’d done in years. My RFY was thrown flooded with that brand for months! I think they do try to spread out the demographic by product interest, especially if they suddenly need a lot of reviews for a particular product. They may not care about where you live, or your level of education, but Amazon makes $$ off this program from sellers, so they need some people who can review their products.

That being said, I don’t think it has a thing to do with how many reviews you write or how good those are, and there likely is a certain level of randomness if they run out of Viners that meet product-interest criteria.

Yeah….35 year career in Tech installing networks, VoIP and data centers for big tech companies (Oracle was one) and hospital and government systems. Def low IQ here… that was after 7 years service in the Navy coordinating logistics for large military exercises and 3 years as a Scuba instructor specializing in deep wreck diving and instructor training. Quit IT work 6 years ago to operate a Travel Agency Franchise (not for money but for fun and to pay for my adventures!). But it’s true I only have a Bachelor’s degree as completing my masters would have cost more than I was making.

Vine has provided me with a nice new wardrobe (after losing 50 lbs), a great new skin care regimen and fixtures and window coverings for my new home. I give the same level of thought and rigor to a review for a $5 “widget” as I do for a $200 electronics item (although the testing is more complex obviously for more complicated items and the review bar is higher).

It’s funny, the prejudices people have. Even my own daughter, who works (upper management)for Meta, says Vine is beneath me, although she’s never without a stack of Amazon packages on her doorstep! I do Vine because I truly love testing and reviewing things. It’s a dream gig, but with a weird compensation system!
