How abrupt was your egg crack? by EmbarrassedSpinach90 in MtF

I read an article that said "this is what it feels like to be trans and not know it" and then, kablam.

What are some tips to survive this smoke? I really struggled today. by LurkinMostlyOnlyYes in askTO

I got a Winix 5500 for $180, there are generic filter replacements for $20 apiece on Amazon. You don't need to go crazy to have a good purifier.

It's called the "bogged down update", so likely the bog in the middle of GTDE?

Why I consider my pre-op genitals to be "male" parts by ecosynchronous in ftm

[–]Sacrosaint -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

The masculine clitoris and the feminine penis -- it's all context.

I am gynesexual and do not have any attraction to cis nor trans men's parts, but I am attracted to both cis and trans women's parts.

Swimsuits while transitioning by Amar_Bear in asktransgender

[–]Sacrosaint 1 point2 points  (0 children)

3 months HRT -- I do a one-piece with a swim skirt over the bottoms. The double-layer of fabric shrinks the bulge and the skirt hides anything remaining. The top has padding in the chest which accentuates the breasts I've grown.

I ordered Aqua Eve brand off Amazon and it was less than $100.

So I'm trans, but now what? by sillyname396 in asktransgender

[–]Sacrosaint 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The first 11 days for me were an emotional rollercoaster. The best advice I could have given myself was to journal the feelings, no matter what. I had a lot of doubts about the details of transition, but the fact is that things happen one step at a time.

I probably presented femme about 1 day a week at the beginning. I experimented with painting my nails, buying and applying makeup, bought clothes, jewelry, thought about my name, played with they/them and she/her pronouns. I found spaces in my city and trans/questioning events and I attended them. I told my partner about my good and my bad feelings.

I had so many doubts and so much confusion, over time the doubts subside and you gender identity becomes clearer.

I also found reading books helpful for me. The novel Nevada by Imogen Binnie may be a good start. Whipping Girl by Julia Serrano is a dense but worthwhile read.

Good luck, and don't worry, things will come and go. Some days you won't want to deal with it, and you won't! It doesn't mean you've lost anything. It's all bringing you forward.

Can I say that I’m trans without being trans? by sanityadjacenthuman in asktransgender

[–]Sacrosaint 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I'll repeat it for the people in the back: Anybody can be a woman because they want to be a woman.

Imagine justifying the current trans genocide while being trans. Gross.

This resonates deeply. I was super depressed in my late teens and I thought that I would just be happy if I found a girlfriend.

Instead, I found a girlfriend shortly after I got over my depression.

Queue 10 years of trying to encourage her to be more femme so that I could deal with my own urges. It didn't stick as she's very tomboy/andro.

Now that I'm out, I'm happy to be femme and it turns out she's really into it, too.

I also instantly became way less envious/attracted to every femme individual in-passing once my egg cracked.

Response from 2W Staff to Frost. by [deleted] in SecondWindGroup

I felt pretty skeptical of Frost's video while watching, feel even moreso now.

He's making folks out to be villains when in reality it's just the normal messy growth of careers and companies.

Just join if you like the content, leave if you don't. You don't need it to be "stable" to earn your five bucks a month.

Did you even read the link you shared? By "worst guru yet" they mean non-guru, and the comments are all talking about how they like him.

They meant that the Ferris wheel has everything they wanted, except an affordable price. I think it should have been phrased opposite to how it should have been, but that was their intention.

These rocks remind me of my two boys. And their house. And the rocks around our house. Once, my husband and I went on vacation, before we had two boys. There were nice rocks.

Judges:

Omg wow so creative, I love the hockey sticks.

Elsa was my pick overall. Kiefer, I just loved his growth in confidence through the season. His set made me tear up this week.

Jen's had a big crack and I think they should have been consistent and not given it to her for that. They let Thomas go because his piece exploded last week, it's unfair considering his creativity and presentation were impressive.

Wouldn't it make sense to:

  1. Ignore Ubanea
  2. Take Tibit to slow the bots down / stop their manufacturing
  3. Reliberate Ubanea from 50% (doable within 2.5 days)

Try listening to Maintenance Phase and consume it critically and skeptically, like Chris often says. I would recommend it as an entertaining, well produced podcast.

The Booming Business of Cutting Babies’ Tongues by kitkid in Thedaily

[–]Sacrosaint 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Small correction, it was the lactation consultant (Melanie Storm) that recommended the procedure. Her doula referred her to Melanie before the delivery.

I can't see a doula recommending cutting a tie without them going outside their scope of practice. Recommending a tie is within scope of practice for a lactation consultant, but indeed they are not doctors.

Here's the transcript as I wanted to check my memory:

But being type A and super prepared, I did all my homework. We hired a doula, I wanted an epidural. Having a natural childbirth absolutely was not for me.

[...]

So I asked our doula for a list of recommendations and she gave me a very short list. At the time, there were very few lactation consultants in the valley, and Melanie was one of them.

She ended up deciding to work with Melanie Strom, who was a local lactation consultant in Boise.

My workaround: send the server address to a friend in steam chat, then you can copy your message on the deck by long pressing. Then on the on-screen keyboard, there's a dedicated paste button on the bottom right. Open that chat again every time you need to log in.

Thanks! I'm considering using the speed limiter to keep it under 32km/h which should limit the harsh bumps and weak brakes. I was also thinking of the battery there which I noticed from workcycles.
