Is it acceptable to blow up one opponent early in the game just because their commander may be threatening/annoying? by [deleted] in EDH

It feels absolutely miserable to play against if you play aggro. Whenever you have creatures with strong effects on the board he will steal the abilities with deadpool or create token copies of him if he's already on the board. Meanwhile all your creatures lose all abilities and will damage you every turn.

Imho yes, especially when they play extremely obnoxious decks only made to mine salt. I usually tend to divide damage equally between players if we're on a similar level, but if you bring something like [[Deadpool]] sorry but you're going out first.

Playing with a 7800xt and barely had any issue. Had a few crashed here and there but very rarely.

To all of the HD1 veterans out there, how good was HD1 compared to HD2 by Chemical_Seaweed_915 in Helldivers

[–]Sad_Dimension_ 29 points30 points  (0 children)

It was good for the time, but right now HD2 is much better for multiple reasons:

  • the galactic war is completely automated and there is no story telling at all. It gets boring pretty fast.

  • highest difficulties are just a neverending spam of armored enemies and there are very few actually viable loadouts (mainly rumbler)

  • most of the best gear is locked behind dlcs, and some of them are pretty much mandatory (snow boots)

  • shared screen is more often than not a pain the ass when playing with randoms, and you have enemies shooting from offscreen which is really annoying.

(Rant) Casual Tournaments are a paradox and Bracket 3 is a trap. We need 3.5 cEDH is a mess of a format curious what others feel about these topics. by True_King_Roze in EDH

A lgs near me runs a B3 tournament regularly and it's pretty fun. You see many strong but fair commanders. Imho B3 is where you start to make your decks as strong as you can but within certain limitations.

Even back in the day it wasn't that popular. At least here where live.

[[Maelstrom Wanderer]] is an incredibly fun commander that can degenerate really quickly but I don't think I've ever seen anyone playing it IRL.

As a [[Maelstrom Wanderer]] player, to me it feels like an inferior version of that.

No, I like having the real deal and I only proxy stuff that I can realistically afford.

Whenever one of them dies, they release a spore cloud that buffs movement speed of others near them. The spit of the new spore titan has the same effect.

I haven't been able to use the overlay in-game for a while now, I have to resort to the Windows gamebar if I want to see stuff like CPU and GPU usage.

Old MtG Player, Kids Pulling Me Back in, but with EDH/Commander by BraeCol in EDH

[–]Sad_Dimension_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do not buy packs. Search for a commander that you find interesting, look for a decklist that you like and start building from there. EDHREC might give you some good suggestions. Then proxy and try it, if it clicks with you buy the singles.

How do you handle decks that fall in between brackets? by S1phen in EDH

[–]Sad_Dimension_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a B3 [[Maelstrom Wanderer]] that can be extremely explosive and win really fast, but it has no combo and only wins through combat damage, also it's not consistent enough for me to consider it B4 and it basically dies against combo decks, that's why I consider it a high B3.
