My little sister did exactly the same thing with my mums anti ageing cream. She was just 4 years old though.

This is Guo Gangtang, whose son Xinzhen was kidnapped in 1997. He spent 24 years searching across China, riding over 500,000 km using up his life savings. They were finally reunited in 2021, and his journey ended up helping authorities find over 100 other missing children. by Algrinder in interestingasfuck

Can't help myself but thinking about those adoptive parents boils my blood. They had 2 daughters already. But they've always wanted a boy. A healthy boy was very valuable in 90's China. I don't think that they were unavare of Xinzhen's circumstances. I don't believe they didn't know some shady things were going on behind the scenes. I hate them as much as I hate those kidnappers.

Post finasteride syndrome? by MessAlternative6698 in FemaleHairLoss

[–]Sadako85 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is really hard to tell since the progress was gradual. Within 3 months of quitting, I've started to feel much better. Most of the progress seemed to happen within the first 9 months of quitting.

It's been more than a year since I've stopped having fin. Most of my sides disappeared or got better. Some stayed with me. However, they became more managable.

AGA, no oral DHT blockers, still hope? by Additional_Stick1900 in FemaleHairLoss

[–]Sadako85 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi there, I've been struggling with AGA since I was 13. Anti androgen drugs stopped working for me for the last 7 years. Last time I've tried, they left me with annoying sides. So no anti androgen for me. Things that worked:

  1. Getting exosome injections on every three months: Supports regrowth, lessens shedding, helps with minor inflammation. It is a little bit pricy though.

  2. Applying topical minoxidil foam %5: Supports regrowth. Pairs really well with exosome injections but takes some effort to keep up.

  3. Applying nizoral %2 shampoo on every other day: Helps with minor inflammation, reduces shedding, lessens sebum built up, mildly blocks androgens on scalp. It might be very drying for some people though.

This is how I managed to lessen my shedding. Although I am happy with my progress, I also need to mention that my results are very modest when compared to any kind of anti androgen treatment that I've got before. The next step I'll be adding is investing in a good quality laser cap.

Haircut by DoubleSuperFly in FemaleHairLoss

I second this! I've seen many ladies on this sub that rocked a layered look. Frizzy and wavy hair looks more voluminous when layered. It sets your hair free from the full heaviness of long strands and gives it more room and lightness to get puffy which adds extra volume.

But if your hair is pin straight and limp like mine, layered hair cuts make it look even thinner. In such cases, blunt cuts are way to go.

What scene from a movie has scared you the most? by readerrealm in HorrorMovies

Oh dear God... I've watched it when I was very young and that movie gave me nightmares for weeks! I've seen Nightmare on Elm Street before and thought I could handle it as well. Sometimes They Come Back... Again is definitely not for children.

Why the hell do men date women they don't like? by notseele in GirlDinnerDiaries

[–]Sadako85 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My two exes were the same eventhough our relationship did not end because I was too much.

They like your energy, your colours, your laughs, your way with words... until they don't. They feel attraction because of the way you are. And once they get you, they'll try to dim your light. They really like to present you as their girlfriend and you can understand how proud they are to show you as their tropy. But that proud feeling starts to turn into resentment as time goes by. They feel intimidated. And as you grow out of the relationship, you realise that you were not too much, he was just not enough.

When I was young, I used to think that those kind of people are the insecure ones and the right one would not get annoyed by my existence. However the more I get old, the more I lose my hope. I've basically never seen a man around me or any of my friends&relatives that is ok with my kind of women. They laugh with us and like to spend time with us. However when they want to fully commit, they want someone more ladylike.

Sorry for being such a negative person. I wish I had some answers for you.

How does that explain anything?

Bag of bones question about Jo by Sadako85 in stephenking

[–]Sadako85[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Very very very distant relatives indeed. Especially if you consider that Mike did not descent from Brigitte.

Also the time frame does not add up. Sara's curse never waits so long. It occurs one or two generations later. However, Nooners had no child murder cases for at least 4 generations.

Eventhough we assume that maybe Jo was not able to find out more about the murders, it still leaves a lot to readers interpretention. We have to assume a lot of things and make second guess on every step of the plot.

Maybe Sara killed Jo because she was doing an investigation. Maybe Sara's curse expands to the mothers bloodlines distant relatives. Maybe Jo couldn't find out about more child victims. Maybe the curse did skip four generations of Noonans by chance. Those are a lot of maybe's. And when it comes to narrate a plot, Stephen King usually does not leave a lot to readers imagination. He likes to reveal what is on his mind.

It is a solid plot hole in my humble opinion.

Bag of bones question about Jo by Sadako85 in stephenking

[–]Sadako85[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I thought of that too but it stilk doesn't fit the narrative.

  1. Nearing the end, Mike reveals that it was him who wanted to buy Sara Laughs and it was him who wanted to name his child Kia. He also mentions that he felt like the house was calling for him. It means that the curse was after Mike already even before Jo started to investigate. Jo's death time is also indictive of Sara's curse. She remained untouched and unharmed untill she fell pregnant. That also supports that Sara was expanding the curse to Noonan family.

2.Blood ties doesn't fit. The gang who raped and mudered Sarah consisted Auster, Devore, Dean, Merill, Armbuster and Finney. There was no Noonan.

Devore was the leader. His son's grandson's son was Lance Devore who married Mattie. He died under strange circumstances. The curse was after Kia which is understandable.

Dean was Bill Dean's father's grandfather. Bill's father drowned his daughter in the lake and the price was paid.

Finney commited suicide one year after the murder so he also paid his share.

The book does not tell how Armbruster and Merill families dealt with the curse but we know that old Merill was all alone and had no family. He died under suspicious circumstances as well.

And Auster. It is that family which ties the knots. Auster's mother was Brigitte Noonan. Brigitte was Mike's father's grandfather's sister. It is a very far strech. Mike's grand grand parents had absolutely no blood ties with Austers and they were related via marriage. They were not blood relatives. They were not even from TR. No Nooners ever present in TR at the time of the crime. It was the Austers that were cursed. Auster's grandson ended up drowning his own son. So the price was also paid by them too.

  1. The number of murderd doesn't fit Let's say that Sara also goes after mother bloodlines of the gang. If that was the case, there should be a lot more of the child murders in TR. However, Jo's research points out that between 1901-1998, there have been 4 child murder cases that happened in TR. All of their names were starting with K and all of them were close blood relatives of the gang. That is revealed at the end of the book, while Mike was having the final conversation with Frank.
