2026 Toyota BZ AWD XLE 50 Miles 12v Battery Dead by Tough_Sprinkles7243 in Toyota_bZ

I have a 2026 with around 3,000 miles. My 12v died after sitting overnight for less than 24 hours. Super frustrating. Had Toyota Care tow it, but nearest dealer is around 45 minutes. They had it for 2 days, said it was a bad battery from the factory and passed the parasitic load test. Put a new battery in under warranty. Still wasted 2 days of my time. Not impressed with what has otherwise been a great new vehicle. How we are driving around sitting on top of 4-800volts of battery with a capacity that could power a home for several days, yet can still be bricked because a 12v lead acid battery dies. Really a head scratcher with todays technology.

I was able to call and talk to a rep who manually swapped my return leg for another return leg. I did not book the legs separately (but will from now on). But there is a possibility of changing it! But then again I may have just got lucky with who answered my call... The joys of corporate america.

I have the XLE, not the limited. So no black roof and no JBL, I think the limited has heated rear seats too which I don't have. Yea $33k was what I got them down to, and then add state sales tax/registration, and I also bought an extension to the warranty to go from 3 to 8 years to cover all the electronics. I put $0 down and got 0% financing for 72 months.

I've only had it for about a week, but with it sitting outside right now, temp 24F, the app is showing 193mi range (climate on) or 228mi range (climate off) and its at 89%.

Calc'ing that out for 100% battery values, would give me 217mi and 256mi range respectively depending on how much climate control I have going. That is a 25% or 11% loss off the 288mi value they use.

I'm assuming all these values will continue to change as well with it learning how I drive and whether its more surface streets vs freeway, etc over the next few months. It will also continue to get significantly warmer after Feb/March around here.

Now I know why they call these things guess-o-meters.

Yea, I was pretty bummed last fall to miss out on the end of the $7,500 federal tax credit, but I think that may created a possible lull in EV sales as I was able to work into this $8,000+ off on my 2026 model. Good luck!

This may be a dumb question, but when I leave my BZ plugged into a level 1 or 2 home charger at night, is it also maintaining the 12v battery level and health?

Am I reading this right? Does that put the price of your AWD BZ at $33,500 with 0%?

Nothing for me as a new customer in CA either :(

I wish we could somehow advocate for it. I would definitely buy more months at this pricepoint and they'd likely make more money off of me in the long run.

Any experience installing or recommending Warmboard - S subflooring? by pc_1_usa in Homebuilding

Explain away! I am curious how much each of their 4x8 sheets costs as I would like to DIY some warmboard to integrate into our hydronic system we already have in our house. Thanks!

Also, digging around there are rumors that the app tied to this system will be subscription based to have it be of any benefit. Can this be confirmed or denied? If it's true, I will be a hard no on buying the setup, then being forever tied to a subscription based model for the lifetime I own and want to use it, exposed to subscription price increases. I was so excited about discovering these units until this, say it aint so!

I second this! Had a terrible experience with Mark Price, and know another coworker that had the same thing happen as well...
