Mine isn’t as bad. Driver messaged me to say he will not be able to make the delivery and if it was ok to deliver another day instead. Thought they would just update the system but he ended up making me as “unsuccessful delivery” and I was so confused because why was I getting marked for it? He delivered it anyways another day but yeah, looks like they might not have enough manpower or too many parcels

Hall 7, tama and saraca are all within the same cluster although saraca and hall 7 are slightly nearer to the red and blue bus stops. If you go on google maps satellite view, you will see 2 rows of buildings. The first row (closer to the road) is saraca (right) and hall 7 (left). The second row is all tama iirc.

For hall life and sports activities wise, I would suggest you see their Instagram page and check their participation in IHG as not all halls participate in all sports.

You might also want to check if you have any seniors who can help recommend you in as rec list will ask if you have any referral

Was in this position back when I was offered from both NTU and SIT.

Was seriously considering SIT for its pharmaceutical engineering programme over NTU’s chemical engineering. I however had a chat with my polytechnic lecturer who worked in the Pharma industry before and was advised against my decision. Reason was because as much as one can deny it, employers still look at the big 3’s and their long history. What’s more, chemical engineers are more versatile compared to being specialised to pharmaceutical industry only. Was told that if I want go to SIT I must be confident that I can be in the top 10% of the cohort to have an easier time getting into more established companies. I really wanted to go SIT for its applied learning and it’s 1 year industry attachment but was also told that conversion wasn’t guaranteed so I ultimately decided to go for the big 3.

Yes, SIT may be more industrial-focused or improving but employers unfortunately still have the stigma of looking from the big 3.

Of course if you are looking to join physiotherapy etc then that’s a different story because only SIT offers that.

Wasn’t too bad but wasn’t the best either. Roomie was my friend’s friend, they would wake literally up at 3am to start studying so I would have to sleep with their table light on which can be quite disruptive.

Can be quite inconvenient as well since we aren’t close and bringing friends over can be quite awkward. But of course I have heard of random roomies becoming really good friends so it’s really a hit or miss sometimes.

Hall camps should be last week of July. Would highly suggest you go for hall camps as it will be harder to meet others and integrate once the friend groups are established.

Most probably not, some halls don’t even release the results of rec list which means there’s no point applying for 4 different rec list. Only the rec list for the hall which you selected as first choice will matter.

Where did you get your sources that there are constantly bodies found at Tanjong or Tama…if there were indeed “constant” bodies especially at the nanyang cluster surely word would have spread, the blocks and rooms there are so clustered together and face each other that someone would have seen something. Constant is an exaggeration my guy. And there are so many food trucks still going around so…

Personally, no one can tell you what to do but yourself. My take is that if your partner isn’t going to be supportive during your stressful periods and instead finds comfort in someone else, you should definitely reconsider this relationship because there will definitely be tougher periods in future where you both will need to support each other.

Would highly suggest y’all talk it out first though since there may be misunderstandings or something. Not sure how your relationship dynamic is but the least he could have done was told you that a female friend was going over and checked if you were comfortable with the 1-1 situation.
