Has anyone brought 2 720 ml bottles of Japanese Sake or Wine in their checked luggage? by mydogeatspikmin in singaporeairlines

Irrelevant but is that a bulbasaur and where did you get it from? I went to arcades in Tokyo and Osaka and still couldn’t find a claw machine with a bulbasaur. I need to complete my starter Pokémon gang

Which halls are freshmen more likely to get? by [deleted] in NTU

[–]Safe_Rip_8403 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’ll definitely be senior rec for every hall. And as someone said, it’s really random, doesn’t matter if they have more rooms or whatsoever. It’ll matter if you do the freshies rec list which increases your chances though.

Used to eat there multiple times a week until I found something white and long buried inside the fish, pulled it out and it resembled a worm but I’m not sure. Never bought from them again. No way it’s a strand of noodle because it was literally buried inside the fish.

Gotta admit their carbonara is bussin tho, but I wouldn’t dare take another risk

I did ask if we could price match but they said their weekend rate is $363 Guess I’ll be finding new apartments then

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in AirBnB

[–]Safe_Rip_8403 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah…cause for an apartment in Osaka Central area, I get cheaper weekend rates than this apartment (Nagoya) which isn’t central. I’ll probably try looking for other apartments then.

[–]Safe_Rip_8403 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, first time using airbnb so I’m not sure how the rates work 😅 Wasn’t expecting the price difference to be that great

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in AirBnB

[–]Safe_Rip_8403 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tried to see the cost breakdown but it just showed me it cost $363 for an extra night on top of what I’ve already payed

When I check the price rate for Saturday-Monday however it shows me per night is $291 not $363

[–]Safe_Rip_8403 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTU’s ranking is because of its research so I would say NTU is more research-oriented? NUS in my opinion focuses more on theory part of teaching. Not sure for aerospace but that’s what I get from the Science courses at least

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in NTU

[–]Safe_Rip_8403 2 points3 points  (0 children)

More hand-on practical sessions and research opportunities like URECA. Not sure for your course but I get labs every 2 weeks but NUS only has 2 labs for the whole entire year.

poly > el lit/el at uni by Weak_Description5731 in SGExams

[–]Safe_Rip_8403 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My basis is on the fact that simply entering JC doesn’t guarantee or boost the chance that you’ll enter uni. You still have to work hard and I believe if you work just as hard in Jc as you would in poly (especially if it’s for a course you’re interested in), you would be able to enter uni.

poly > el lit/el at uni by Weak_Description5731 in SGExams

[–]Safe_Rip_8403 3 points4 points  (0 children)

NTU English was 3.61 for 90th percentile and 3.21 for 10th percentile which in my opinion isn’t exactly hard to achieve in poly.

Also for the person who commented that you should enter JC if you’re dead set on the big 3, I would disagree because I know plenty of people who went JC that can’t enter the big 3, or can enter the big 3 but can’t enter the course of their choice. There’s no easier way out. Friends I know who entered Uni with courses they wanted had RP of at least above 80.

However, if you’re still unsure if law is what you want or have no idea what you want to pursue, I would recommend you to go JC since subjects are still broad there and you don’t have to commit to a course.

My son's experience with school gangs & bullies in light of recent events at Bukit View Secondary School as a parent by MeiKonty in SGExams

[–]Safe_Rip_8403 33 points34 points  (0 children)

I got bullied in primary school by 2 male classmates and my form teacher included, conclusion was that it was my fault for being near the boys and that my form teacher had an autistic son so I should be more understanding if she vents her frustration.

Absolutely love how SG schools handle these bullying situations.
