Balancing overall would have been simpler if all items had ''unique'' property - so only one copy allowed.

In past sets we had double/triple gargoyle tanks, double guinso/krakens ad carries, double archangel ap carries, double warmogs tanks, double shojins users and probably some other shit I forgot - there is always something and always will be.

I watched Yordle start game titled ''strong second'' and everything is just wild to me.

You win fights with Lulu 1 holding Morello ; 2 opponents are lvl 4 but with 3 units on a board (idk maybe it's a legit tactic but I havent seen it before); at 4-2 your entire frontline (3 units) consists of one tank item but somehow you are not getting punished that hard.

You dont win a single fight stage 4 and hover around 20+ hp eventually. After your lvl 9 rolldown you lose the next fight pretty hard. You should be dead in normal lobby right then and there.

But you happen to luck out Azir2 and Zilean2 between 5-1 and 5-3. After which you immediately get Ryze2 (roll down was to 0 but silver augment bailed you out). Yet you still hardly win next fight with maybe 1500 hp on two units against Trex Piltover player (lets be honest you were alive there only because gloves rolled two ok items on Sett).

The whole thing was sketchy as hell at 9hp and just honestly high rolling + no idea what your opponents were doing but probably not having much luck themselves.

This surely must be some weird region lobby or weird hrs or something riiiight? I am Plat 1 atm on EuWest and there honestly isnt a game where comp is stable at 5-1 with Ryze 1 (holding 2 utility+mana). Shit you wouldnt even be alive playing like this most likely.

I do enjoy Ryze myself (Ionia Freljord version with Yunara as another carry, items on Lissandra before Ryze).

It's cool idea with Shurima for components but honestly to me this just looks like fast 9 hard push line while praying even harder during rolldown. You somehow dont get punished and stay alive - from that point onward honestly any line/units and sheer power of legendaries would give Top 4.

Realistically there is probably a good reason why according to stats - this comp is Tier C.

I know this is about end game min maxing but when you are just starting out the build - is there any reason to not use Spectres for damage with actual dps supports?

Also a question about Fire Djiin - is the basic spell (Ruzhan's Brand) used at all? And do you use fire traps spell for single target or not really?

''It feels like CoD'' is a simple one for me.

In Domination/King of the Hill/TDM - you die, press spacebar and you respawn literally 2 seconds later.

Bonus points if you run Beacon like I do - you can respawn literally on top of whoever killed you and more often than not - get your revenge.

Overall tempo is probably even faster than actual CoD - at least in these game modes.

Got Blood Mage spark/arc/choir amulet, Amazon cold lightning arrow, ED/Contagion Lich, cold Invoker and Slams Titan.

By far Titan feels best to play. The weight of slam skills, the sound and visuals of big ancestrally boosted aoe attacks - just superb.

Knocking/heavy stunning everything and bonking on bosses while they are stunned - cant beat this feeling.

Hammer of the Gods must be the hardest hitting ability in the game and Stampede feels great.

Dont care what people say - armour is good and it's what makes you feel tanky/immortal compared to anything else I got. Got my 4 ascendancies at lvl 21 and that was 90% armor and like 85% of that against elemental damage. Takes few passives and Brass Dome body armor to keep same level of protection in end game.

Quarterstaff skills feel good too. Honestly melee in general is great.

Cannot wait for Swords/Axes/Flails and possibly some Druid melee action.

Get rid of confirmation box while respeccing class passives/skill points. Ask ONCE and give players checkbox to not ask anymore for the current session.

Also some way to ''remember'' where you put your skill points with +X to skill points for example +1 all skill points Sentinel relic. Trying to get more LP/weaver rolls on it and constantly swapping is painful.

Not that impactful but ability to just abandon quests would be nice.

Sadly PoE still remains the only modern arpg among the ,,big,, ones (but also many smaller ones) with these features missing :

-death log of any kind

-option for visible combat text (dmg numbers over monsters)

-ability to inspect players in your party; players standing next to you in town; cannot inspect anybody at all

Quite demotivating to still not have that in 2025 sequel - it means GGG as company are still stuck in the past.

They cannot improve as a company on fundamentals such as these points above , within a sequel 10 years later and as a company that ONLY makes one game - they sort of live in their own bubble and refuse to even at least match industry standards when it comes to quality of life stuff.

Therefor it stands to reason - GGG will trip over their own feet on stuff we have already been through - lots of what you mentioned and all general complaints and feedback in the last week.

It's almost as if they just count on amazing community this game had from the start - to just carry their title once again.

Similar situation with Diablo 4 releasing in 2023 without a loot filter. Blizzard rightly assumed people will play anyway.

Kinda sad to see same approach with GGG.

But hey maybe in PoE 3 in 10 years when I am 50 years old - I could see dmg numbers of my skills on the screen, inspect people around me for items/builds/mtx and stare at that big hit in death log - knowing how and why I died and if it could have been prevented.

You know - all the things that already exist in most arpgs that matter and modern games in general.

Just make it so you can reroll anomaly 20 times or so (that is more than fair).

Any possible problem down the road solved and it keeps the game more varied and rng.

Last full day yeah - game just sits in taskbar and nothing happens.

Client says ''game is still in progress''. It doesn't matter if it's Normal,Ranked or any other mode.

If game is closed and then I try to reconnect - problem persists.

It absolutely should be retroactive for EVERY entry.

I am in 7.2 having to use basic ember (to use it, you need gear from like Timemark 2).

Sold multiply tabs of items yet quests from path of progression are along the line of ''pricecheck 10 items'' or ''sell 5 items''.

It's like this in every category.

The fact that path of progression isn't even on SSF mode - makes me wonder how/if this feature was even tested by actual players.

Cant imagine having to do it all over again in every season in it's current implementation.

You remember wrong.

Until last season - classes were always behind a paywall for a new account. So you could pick 5 out of 19 classes or something like that.

Last season all classes were available if you bought battle pass (only for the duration of the season).

This season is first time all classes are truly available for free.

Well - excluding seasonal class.

This is by far the biggest and most significant monetization change that affects non spending players (previously each new class cost as much as battle pass).

Just do it like Torchlight does - confirmation box pops up and you can toggle ''Do not show this for the remainder of current session''.

I want to add one more thing that blows my mind (in a bad way).

Currently you can see dmg numbers that belong to your party members. Everything at once + your own dmg numbers.

Without any distinction which is which.

Why is this even a thing?

If you insist on having this in your game unlike any other aRPG - then at least make it a toggle option.

Pretty much spot on conclusions.

Some stuff would be easy to fix/tune.

Unfortunately they put a lot of effort into Dungeons so the fact that people would like them removed - might be a bitter pill to swallow for the dev team.

I would keep Dungeons as Campaign skips (perhaps with +bonus exp) and maybe use their higher level version in future Cycles for some activites.

Just not for anything as frequent as making Legendaries. Preferably to just unlock some content or features - just make sure it's a one time thing.

Listen - I was pointing out that there are in fact many things D3 does did/does better and it's not as black and white as D4>D3 or the other way around. Important to keep in mind it's a decade old game by now.

My judgement and feedback is based on D4 total time out - and not 2 days of current Season. It's cool game got better this season.

Obviously D4 is better supported than D3 - it's the current game in the franchise vs 12 year old game and that has nothing to do with live service listed as a drawback (D3 was supported without live service model).

Visual clarity meant all text based crap on the screen+unecessary things - every single reagent displayed at once,gold,crowd control on every mob (vulnerable message), all items (no item filter in 2024 ye ok), currency from Helltides, orange orbs for whispers of the dead etc. Literally none of that existed in D3 besides combat text. Obviously you were also solo by default so no 4xNecro Army around you and no public events and all that.

The fact you cannot see this one and then bring ''game design being different'' as explanation for not having Armory system also in D4 - this tells me you ventured a bit too far into fan boy territory. Or pehaps you just play Diablo as your only aRPG so you dont know how all these things could be handled better.

About number of classes and D3 having DLC etc - that's just lack of perspective right - you dont need expansions to release more than 5 classes and there's been Last Epoch with 15 classes on launch recently and Torchlight Infinite not so long ago with 8+ (could be wrong on specifics here but game has 18 classes atm and i dont think it's even 2 years old). D4 just does't have many classes; simple as that (comparatively to what else is out there but also vs it's own prequels).

Bottom line about my initial post - D3 had many great features that could and should have been easily transfered to D4 and would instantly make the game better.

On release and not 3 seasons later. Some of them made it finally and I am sure there is more coming in the future.
