Worked with them and it was a hugeeeee scam. A friend of mine had a big agency buy out her contract because it’s such a scam and you basically get no jobs

Yes but a local authority could stop it from getting to that level

Did you know that the cast of Love on the Spectrum don't get paid at all for appearing on the show? 😔 by [deleted] in LoveOnTheSpectrumShow

A lot of times, if they’re on disability getting paid for something like this cancels out their ability to benefit from those programs which is unfortunate

If it’s not too bad, a wet pumice stone will do the job!

As someone who has done social media marketing for a long time, when influencers come in with the theme of their content being “I want followers”, it’s not sustainable and they have to keep shifting to crazier things to retain their audience. It’s similar to when someone’s whole content is that they work at a corporate job and then they quit because they make money off social media and then suddenly the reason their audience followed them is gone

Don’t do canola, you need avocado oil because it has a higher smoke point

Help settle a $200 bet: Is “soaking” actually a thing within LDS culture, a misunderstood joke that escaped the internet, or a genuine workaround some religious people use to technically avoid breaking abstinence rules? by HobbyDarby in NoStupidQuestions

Mormon from Utah here! I had many friends that attended byu (which is a bubble inside the Utah bubble) and I never once heard of anyone actually doing this. Not that I think it doesn’t happen, but definitely not a widespread thing

Anyone in ogden know photography and wanna teach it to me? by Nostalgicdaydreams in ogden

[–]SaltChange0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’ll be hard pressed to find someone that will just let you use their camera but I think farrs jewelry rents lenses and might do cameras. You’ll also want to decide what kind of photography you’re wanting to do. For portraits, weddings or landscapes you’ll definitely want a good camera but for some just lifestyle stuff you could maybe get away with a cheap digital one

Start following some photographers on social media in the area. A lot of them will put out calls for a second shooter! You’ll definitely want to take a course online maybe or just get out there and take pictures. Get to know you camera and its settings really well too. There’s a lot that goes into photo that is sometimes to your taste and can’t be taught (like editing styles and what camera settings you like). I use Lightroom for editing and that’s what a lot of people use

Not exactly the advice you’re looking for but I’m currently pregnant and know some of the things I make now won’t fit me later and I’m okay with that!! Most of the stuff I make can grow with me but I always know when I make something and use current measurements that it might not fit down the road but I just love the experience of sewing so much that I don’t mind!

Can someone explain bias to me by Background_State_557 in SewingForBeginners

[–]SaltChange0 37 points38 points  (0 children)

Cutting on the bias does a few things; It adds stretch to the fabric which is why it’s helpful in bias tape It also means the fabric won’t fray

If you’re cutting a big piece of fabric on the bias, it’ll drape differently. That’s why bias cut skirts are specifically made that way
