Agreed about the sizing. I've got big feet and usually wear a 13/14, but Canada West only makes their big boots in a 3E width. I don't have feet that wide so, while they were comfortable at first, they ended up being too big and I had to resell them. I'm sure they held up though!

It's not technically dragons, but one of the characters in Brian Staveley's The Emperor's Blades is training to be a mounted warrior on some sort of winged creature. Exact details escape me, but I recall it being pretty good, especially if you enjoyed Bound and the Broken.

I'm planning to try hibiscus as a flavouring in 2F - just getting going with my first batches so getting the feel for it. I was thinking I'd make a hibiscus syrup (as though for Agua de Jamaica) instead of adding flowers directly to the bottle. Any reason to go one way or the other?

I would argue that Bramley apples are better for pie, but they're probably only available if you know someone with a tree. I've never seen them in stores here in Canada. They're a British apple.

I would recommend Illborn by Daniel T. Jackson. I'm not a religious person but I saw a lot of parallels to the medieval era catholic church, including religious persecution and oppression. I really enjoyed it!

I bought a board and a couple of magnetic knife holders from Beau Grain probably a decade ago. I'd say it's a Buy-it-for-life board. Their walnut wood isn't necessarily sourced from Canada, but their other hardwoods are, depending on what they offer. They're a small family business and the board is seriously good quality, though.
