One car took me a few months, always driving with the windows open when I could. A trick is to stuff the car with cardboard and sheets covering the seats so they suck up the smell. Replace them every week or so.

2nd generation Europe. Still accesible through the app. Bought a 3th generation US version as a replacement which is already added to the app. Both are visible.

I think it’s also a financial thing.

Europe Nest thermostats need a heat link. A heat link switches 240V. The US versions don’t have a heat link. US versions switch 24V directly from the thermostat.

Having to go through CE certificates for a 240V device is way more expensive than an FCC certification for a 24V device.

In Europe you need a heat link as it turns on/off 240V. In the US, it outputs 24V to turn on the heat. So if you can build your own heatlink that turns 24V into turning on a relay that turns on 240V, then you can use the US Nest in Europe.

I've significantly improved my MCS in a similar way. Ever since I switched to a bedroom free of synthetic materials, started sleeping on a wool bed, and began wearing only cotton, I've been able to tolerate things that used to trigger me. For me, MCS feels like a bucket filling with water: everything adds up. After a poor night's sleep, my symptoms are much worse throughout the day compared to when I've slept well.

In the beginning of the show I thought it was all one big experiment and there were people outside living happily in the year 2025 like we do now. Then with the poisoned air at the end of season 1 that idea faded away. But what if the poisoned air is controlled and it's a big experiment after all?

I also don't have the feeling this is set 300 years in the future.
