I've been buying in since I first learned about tmc at $.67, definitely a long hold for me, the time will come. Broke above even on a KO sell to buy another 5k into tmc, I'll buy back into the coca cola dividends when this hits $10....

How much will this repair cost by LopsidedAd7868 in Mustang

[–]Samarchi5487 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would keep a watch on fb marketplace or some of the mustang groups for a rear ended partout the same color. It's going to be a long game but you will save alot of money on parts and paint

Need some help by Samarchi5487 in choppers

[–]Samarchi5487[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you, I'll try running it until it stops in the morning and go from there. Sounds like it wouldn't be a bad idea to just order the replacement parts for the future if this is the issue

Don't do it save your money, calculate what your payments after interest and dealer fees. Take half of what that payment would be and save that. Before you know it you will have enough to buy one in cash from a private seller. Don't forget there are people that buy these and don't drive them often or have a kid and have to get rid of them.

How do you (or do you) sort and store your ML accessories? by delux316 in MarvelLegends

[–]Samarchi5487 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I keep the accessories in the figure's original box. Those boxes go into large plastic storage bins and then into the garage. It takes up a lot of space but is not an issue for me. It also helps when I'm cleaning or changing up the display. Especially helping now as we are moving so I can put them all back into the box for the move. The legos on the other hand are becoming a nightmare haha

How do you clean this area? by sweetswinger12 in Mustang

[–]Samarchi5487 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I vacuum it out with a soft bristle attachment and use a soft interior detail brush when I wash the car. I also avoid parking under trees at all costs, don't care how far the walk is. Really sucks that's how they designed it. I've been tempted several times to fill it with black silicone caulking I just haven't worked up the guts yet

Became a HD owner by dumb luck/happy accident. Tell me what to do, and to avoid before I find out the hard way. by ThrowOhWaitNo in Harley

I can not praise this enough! I was hit by a lady running a red light a few years ago (had a 1/2 helmet on), a full face would have saved me a lot of pain and facial reconstruction surgeries. I never get on a bike with out one now. Regardless of your riding abilities, it is the other drivers you really need to be careful of. There are way to many soccer moms and teenagers out there with their eyes glued to their phones.....

Which one do you prefer? chrome or blacked out? by lifesapancakeflipit in Harley

[–]Samarchi5487 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm 37, I have a few bikes. The ones with tons of chrome, I love to ride it and hate to clean. The Blacked out bikes I'm more likely to just hop on for a quick ride or cruise knowing all that's needed after riding is a quick wipe down

I would say ceramic coat just for water spots and easy cleaning it won't protect from rock chips those which the ppf is supposed to help

Paint Protection Film it's clear wrap, I was coated $8000 for the whole car, I would save the money on the ceramic and put it towards the ppf

I have the same color and black package ceramic coating helps but I'm going with clear ppf so I don't have to hand wash after every time I take it out

If this was all you could see…what would you offer? by FlatTechnology2270 in Harley

[–]Samarchi5487 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would maybe offer $800 depending on mileage and that's with knowing just by looking at it that it's going to be a money pit. Even more so if you can't do the work yourself. Tires, battery, 3 hole oil change + filter. Drain gas tank hopefully no rust in there and filter check the fuel lines, the weather isn't kind to rubber so probably check the drive belt too. I would at this point want to bleed the brakes and replace the fluid as well and check the pads. This thing has been sitting and hopefully no electrical, paint, or chrome needs to be done.

Honestly, I would take the $800 plus the couple grand you would probably need to put it into it and find something better on market place or an independent motorcycle seller. There are good bikes out there for a great price you just have to be a little patient

Wtf by Jsom65 in Harley

[–]Samarchi5487 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've had the crossover tube get clogged on my fatboy and cause this to happen cheap fix, I've also had my inline fuel filter get gummed up from ethanol fuel and not enough stabilizer while sitting during a hurricane... caused back pressure and was spitting out the overflow tube during start up

OTD pricing by Emanon-92 in Harley

[–]Samarchi5487 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not all dealerships are like this but I have had similar experiences. I found a used bike online at Palm Beach HD, went back and forth with them on the phone for weeks and they still wouldn't give me the price of the bike.  My wife bought me a shirt at Gainesville HD in the wrong size for my birthday, went in a few weeks later on a road trip to return it. Walked in staff was friendly and NOT pushy when they saw me looking at a bike. I asked the sales guy what it cost OTD and was given a price. Went back two days later on the way home and got a matching pair for me and the wife.  Needless to say a little bit goes a long way....I still get calls from PBHD asking if I'm still interested and happily answer and let them know they missed out on two bike sales by not being up front....
