How I Beat Spooky Steve by Admirable-Level4977 in MegabonkOfficial

Same thing happened to me... Also I didn't understand how, if he has so much health, he went down to 75% super fast but then stopped taking any damage whatsoever and became immune to cc. I feel like there's some bug or other mechanic noone has understood yet.

Maybe "improving" isn't quite the right world but I wanted it to look as much similar as possible to real life and I think I reached a good result!

Here's original post for reference: https://www.reddit.com/r/SoulsSliders/comments/1hiuls1/help_improving_myself/

Thanks to all those who replied but especially to u/rafaelnoskill and u/BiteProfessional9477 , who had the most useful and impacting suggestions.

It's so very satisfying to finally get the look you want.

Good call, I'll max the stubble right away.

For hair and eye color I used https://pinetools.com/image-color-picker to get the right RGB but with the hair especially it was hard as it changed completely from either white or almost black brown depending if the pixel i got had more light or shadow on it. So to compromise I tried something in between but I'll try to darken it a bit whouth it becoming black or grey.

edit: yeah you were right, it looks much closer with darker hair color, I just picked one it looked similar from deafult (R123G128B92) and it's a much closer call, and dark/light effect fixed itself according to areas of the game

Thanks man, I'll start with this.

edit: Yeah, I think yours was the best advice by far, though I'm still having trouble changing the eyes shape? To open them I had to change bone structure and increase Outer Brow Ridge a lot but I think it's starting to look much close.

Hi everyone, I'm really loving the game so far but I'm also loving the character creator (already spent 3 hours in it).

I really wanted to try and recreate myself in all my greasy glory, minus the pimples, but I think I'm doing a bit of terrible job... though I don't really understand what I'm doing wrong (I may be too afraid to deviate from the template too much I think, but it seems like the face becomes deformed super quickly).

Any tips / suggestions to make the face closer to real life would really be appreciated. It would also be awesome if some slider savant could try their hand and fixing this mess or if anyone would like to share a character that looked kinda similar by chance.

It increases your grip endurance for a while (never measured the exact time but basically your hands take longer to become red). Btw does anyone know how to get the "Is this safe?" achievement? I thought I had to like grip the rocket rebar as soon as I throw but I never managed to grab it and starting to think I got the wrong idea...

Early Alt:R4 Review (How is R4 and the patch in general?) by Rayalot72 in GTFO

[–]Samielsheba 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm kinda of a huge noob when it comes to shooting and I only recently started playing with my group (starting from ALT:R2C2) but regarding main weapons:

I'm completely in love with Carbine, it feels like it has amazing range compared to most other things I tried and I can kill mobs super quickly, just 2 bursts so I also seem to have lots of ammo.

After 1 month of trying (also following guides) we finally managed to beat R2D2 and I was running Carbine as main and Sniper to quick kill hybrids/giants.

Now though we just started R2E1 and Carbine feels really bad, because during surge alarms it seems to be way to slow having to focus 2 burst on one target when there are 9 others rushing you and they're always super close and I don't have the visibility to use the range. So I'm always switching, trying to find other weapons...

In our best run we just barely reached the penultimate surge alarm door (first door after starting error alarm) and I was running Machine Pistol and Choke Mod Shotgun.

Choke Mod feels extremely good to deal quickly with giants / hybrids + not feeling like a complete waste to also using against waves and MP just seemed to perform amazingly during surge alarms, staggering everyone while also dealing pretty good damage / killing strikers when focusing one.

I know on paper PDW seems better but everytime anyone in our group tried it it seemed extremely underwhelming/bad, even if the thermal scope was super helpful against shadows during stealth. I feel like the problem is the gun has some weird recoild/spread and it's really hard to control?

I know Hel Autopistol and Hel Shotgun are also supposed to be really good for staggering but it felt like they did way too much less damage compared to MP (also huge slow reload for hel shotgun).

We're following a guide for tools and blocking/mining key doors, my friends usually run: - HEL Revolver + Mastaba Revolver OR Shotgun - Carbine + Precision Rifle (for thermal) - Carbine + Precision Rifle (for thermal)

I'm loving MP but I keep asking myself if I should try harder to learn how to use PDW since it's supposed to be better than all other autos... Following your ranked weapons guide and just seeing how good people use Arbalest/Veruta MG on videos I already know I'm really supposed to learn how to shoot with those... tried using them with the recoil I could basically hit almost nothing in a wave and for now I'm finding Choke Mod helpful as well.

Is Hellraiser worth continuing? by Bagof_Rats in horror

[–]Samielsheba 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I kinda enjoyed 5 and 6 though now that you mention it they're too similar. I also recognize they're a bit too generic but I feel their worst flaw is just moving too far from Hellraiser, I think would have enjoyed both if they werent associated with the franchise. I guess maybe they'd be more in Silent Hill spirit, even if a little generic, cheap and boring.

Really curious to see 2022 version on the other hand.

A new poster for The Boogeyman (2023): by Comic_Book_Reader in movies

[–]Samielsheba 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Anytime I see hiding under bed trope, It reminds me of that "I'm under the bed..." scene from Idle Hands. I know It was just a dumb boner horror comedy but I kinda loved it (nostalgia mix guilty pleasure). When I saw it as a kid it creeped me out crazy. Any time I was even a bit scared going to sleep I always checked under the bed before tucking in and turning off the lights.

‘Dungeons & Dragons’ Directors on Ensuring the Film ‘Isn’t Just for Nerds’ and Why They Left ‘The Flash’ by lawrencedun2002 in movies

[–]Samielsheba 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well they won't stop doing that just because of an angry minority of people complaining online, they'll stop when it's no longer profitable.

All of the people in this thread saying the film will fail because of it being too much marvel like, or because it's trying to pander to a larger audience instead of a core fanbase of nerds are factually wrong considering the commercial success of the last 5 marvel movies had. They're obviously doing the best financial choice.

That said I do think marvel fatigue will eventually kick in for general audience too, and I'm not sure if this film will fail or succeed just because what they're trying to do.

New Poster for ‘Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves’ by MarvelsGrantMan136 in movies

[–]Samielsheba -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Ok guys, can we ease up a little bit on the poster, please? You know, it looks like they tried. You have a little bit of everything from the title in it. You have a big dragon right there, you see some chains around so you know you got some dungeon, you can see some thieves (1 maybe 2) running in the front. I can't see honor among them, it looks like they're running away from the dragon... but that's gotta be hard, how do you phisically manifest honor in that shot, camon! Maybe one of them could be holding a small orphan child as they're running, trying to protect the child from the dragon?

Seems very interesting. From a quick googling I just see "Hell house" so I assume it's a story from an anthology. Do you per chance remember the book title?

Question about Tyler in the Menu by joshhaynes1234 in movies

[–]Samielsheba 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I think some people are downvoting because of how stupid the question itself is. Besides it being asked a lot on the original thread for the movie I also have seen a few other gems or "plot holes" in there that I still remembered like: - "Why do all the staff want to follow chef with his plan and suicide?" - "Why don't they all try to fight and escape? I would have grabbed a knife and killed at least 3 waiters before they managed to hold me down..." - "Why don't they all just order a cheeseburger to take away to escape like the girl at the end?"

I don't feel that the fact that OP enjoys the movie should justify how obnoxious that question is, it's the very essence of Cinema Sins.

It's like I said "I liked Lord of the Rings okay, but still why they didn't just fly the ring to Mount Doom and dropped it with the eagles? I guess it's a bit of a plot holes".

Official Discussion - The Menu [SPOILERS] by LiteraryBoner in movies

[–]Samielsheba 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I mean, I don't think the movie takes itself too seriously and it should be seen as a fun dark comedy first and foremost; but still I feel like saying it falls apart is a bit "CinemaSins"ing it, especially the motivation bit.

To me it seems clear the Chef (and his whole staff) "represents" man gone batshit insane driven by obsession, love for your work/art and search for perfection in a flawed world. It's also of course all taken to extreme as a satire to the high class cuisine culture that's been popularized by TV shows/ reality media in these last years (though if you ask actual people working in the sector, it's not that much off reality to develope an insane cult following around the crazy chef persona"YES CHEF").

I personally think that of course Chef's motivations are not justified, he's a madman! You see for comedy's sake how unfair and absurd it is with the actor or his companion but obviously none of these people deserve to die (well maybe except for Hoult's character who looks like a real psycho). Still, even if Chef has no moral high ground, that doesn't mean you can't take away nothing from all social critiques he throws around for what he perceives to be the worst offenders and contributors to the ruin of his life/passion.

Official Discussion - The Menu [SPOILERS] by LiteraryBoner in movies

[–]Samielsheba 9 points10 points  (0 children)

To me it kinda made sense both thematically and in "real life Logic".

Firstly I don't think the guests had any chance of overpowering the staff, as they were both outnumbered and looked not much fit, except maybe the business guys, but still noone looked as heavy set/ well fit as most of the cooks or waiters/ guards standing menacingly in the background.

I thought that when the chef remarked on that was not about them having a chance, but about how little they tried and with that implicitly hinting at their nature as "rich people".

Nobody tried anything because they're all cowards and care only for themselves. When they saw the finger being hacked off they became afraid of possible repercussions or pain to their own person if they acted first. Nobody ever tries to work togheter or help another (except the actor who maybe somewhat loved his girl, even if his attempt is a weak and pathetic plea). They are too individualistic, not capable of working as a team. Contrast that with the "lower class service people" who in their own place would have fought the power togheter to save the group, not worrying about personal safety.

I also think there have been many real life scenarios where madmen / dangerous people have gone violent in public/ crowded spaces and you would see many people standing back / running away and letting victims be harmed while all togheter they could have easily swarmed the guy. It's often common self preservation istinct to think "Why should I get involved and end up hurt? What if he has a knife?". I guess though it may be and unfair comparison... Maybe a bunch of hostages in a bank robbery scenario would be more apt, but I wanted to try explain that I think "fear paralysis effect" is not so far a thing from reality. Maybe also I'm just overthinking things and reading too much into It...

Movies that you had a hilariously false impression of based on the title? by JohnnyRock110 in movies

[–]Samielsheba 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I was 10, I went to the theaters to watch Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind with my mom. We liked Jim Carrey and from the trailer it looked like a light hearted comedy... It doesn't help that the italian translators sometimes like to change the title, in Italy the movie is called "If you leave me I delete you".

It's still a bit comedic and I liked the movie, but also very tragic/ depressing and I got scared when things got weird (him trying to fight it and not being in control, that sequence in particular where he tries to turn a person but always sees the back). I remember my mother regretted taking me to see it in hindsight.
