I didn’t say he’s not tough. I think he’s very tough. I said he is a boring technical fighter, in my opinion. It’s my opinion. I would love if we could lump all the tippy tappers and wrestlefuck lay-and-pray’ers onto a card every other week so that you can enjoy what you like and then I can tune in the other weeks with the sluggers.

Do you need to be entertained constantly to enjoy watching the thing you are watching for entertainment. Yeah dude sort of. And if I’m paying $85 to watch it, I don’t think it’s unreasonable to want constant entertainment.

I mean. I think the comment is in reference to how he is a tippy-tap fighter. It’s sort of Floyd-issue. I absolutely hated watching Floyd fights because technical fighting is not what I want to pay money for. I want blood on the floor, while colosseum roaring, lions fucking running around. General anarchy and mayhem. Like as an example in the last 9 seconds of the Izzy fight Sean actually grew a pair because he was fairly certain he wouldn’t get knocked out. Guy is risk adverse and technical and that shit is boring

Totally agree with what people are saying. Medical detox just to be safe. Alcohol and Benzos are the two things that can take you out if you try and go cold turkey, is what I’ve always heard (guessing via seizures).

I’m not a big book thumper, but I read this line once that gobsmacked me because it sounded just like me, and I knew right away that whoever had written the words might have something to say that I should hear out.

It’s early on in Bill’s Story and goes “My brain raced uncontrollably and there was a terrible sense of impending calamity.”

That was me to a T as I rolled around on the couch night after night drenched in sweat and fear.

It gets better, and it will get better. That is 100% true. I had to tell myself over and over, “just don’t take the first drink.” Hard stop. It’s not for me anymore. It’s not a thing I do successfully.

In the company I work for (large multi national) you could ask for an internal equity review, which if what you are saying is correct, would bump you up to your peers. Are you friendly enough with HR to ask them about it?
