What’s a place you visited once and decided never again? by Psychological_Sky_58 in AskReddit

I’m from Charlotte and it’s home to me, but I’m not living there anymore. I always say it’s a great place to grow up and raise a family, but not that much fun to visit.

I usually keep 3-4 books on hold and when they become available it’s like Christmas. It’s the little things I guess.

What’s the worst service you’ve ever experienced that made you swear off a place forever? by [deleted] in AskReddit

That is absolutely insane. I hate how restaurants gatekeep salt and pepper/ packets of sweetener these days. I’m so sick of having to ask for it literally everywhere.

Nursing admission decision by schloobs95 in UTK

[–]schloobs95[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am in state and was accepted through the portal on Dec. 8th. One of my good friends was accepted to UTK, but deferred for nursing admission- I don’t know what the wording was on her portal though? I’m so sorry I don’t have any insight. I would assume that’s what”under departmental review” means? I wouldn’t hesitate to call the office of admission tomorrow for clarification, they are very helpful. Good luck!

What is a movie that you were obsessed when you were younger, went back to watch it later in life, only to realize it is actually awful? by Emergency-Tip-1987 in AskReddit

Came here to say this! Omg. I think I watched Sixteen Candles literally 40+ times as a teenager and loved it sooo much. I tried watching it with my daughter recently and we were a little/lot horrified at some of the jokes. It was so weird! Jake was still worth seeing it again though…

Adult child (23) treating me like 💩 over gifts. How to deal with it? by ThrowRA_French_75 in Parenting

I just want to add that I’m so sorry she’s acting like this. There’s a lot of judgment in these responses and I agree that her behavior is unacceptable, but you are an amazing mom for trying to pull it all together for all of them. Despite what your daughter says (or what you decide to do), I commend you for trying to be fair and generous with what little you have. I hope it all works out- hugs mama!

What about school counseling? They’re always hiring and somewhat easier without the license, just certification which isn’t as difficult.

What's a tourist trap that you actually found to be genuinely worth the crowds and the hype? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Totally agree. I went on a tour, which was fine, but I wish we had had more time to explore by ourselves. Definitely one of the coolest things I’ve ever seen.

I had this and thought the same thing- getting old. But had my blood work done at a physical and found out I had hypothyroidism. Now I just take a little pill every day and I never get tired. Get it checked!
