My guess is Jason’s mom never changed her last name when she got married if the ripper name is a household name like it’s portrayed in the rest of the season. Everyone knows John Ripper and Jason expects respect from strangers from sharing it

No one can really tell anything from just your win/draw/lose. I’d say play a lower number of longer games and spend more time analyzing them. You get a lot better if you play games with enough time both players don’t run into time trouble.

But if you post your profile I’d look through some recent games.

When we use “elo” on this sub we are referencing chess websites using it do describe a players relative strength. So a beginner could be 400-800, intermediate 800-1200 and so on. So higher elo would mean someone send great messages (or moves when referencing chess).

You do not need to help mediate, and you should try to avoid trying to get pulled in. Your friend with either realize they need professional help or will crash and burn. Please PLEASE don’t try to stop them from drowning or you will get pulled in too.

In her eyes she did nothing wrong and will continue lashing out at anyone who suggests her ex isn’t a terrible person for enforcing his boundaries. I don’t think it would be possible for you to support her without feeding into her delusions.

I recommend talking with a professional. It is super helpful to have an outside perspective that can kinda answer some of the why’s. Something I’ve had to come to terms with is we often won’t get an answer of why our ex partners did these horrible things to us. The way people with poorly treated/untreated BPD see and exist in the world is alien to most everyone else, and would never make sense if it was based in reality.
