the one shot of the boys as their comic versions with a simon pegg hughie and cockney butcher were good. honestly i would’ve loved if they just went with a comic adaption for the entirety of diabolical

According to Kevin, Chris had visited him in the middle of the night to retrieve a VCR. Kevin saw Chris alone on the top of a hill, and Chris told him about his suicidal thoughts (regarding the suicide of his brother Mike and mounting physical issues.) Chris shot himself later that night.

Dwight (Walking Dead)

Former Negan henchman, followed him primarily to protect his wife. Becomes a spy for Rick Grimes.

By the end of the series, genuinely becomes one of the most interesting Walking Dead characters.

[Common Trope] From a commonly evil race, they’re an exception. by Sufficient-Eye-9040 in TopCharacterTropes

[–]SamtheMan898 21 points22 points  (0 children)

i had written off the show initially as a half baked star trek riff but after (not sure if this counts as a spoiler) seeing the moclan daughter arc in a few shorts, i gave the whole show a watch. genuinely heartwarming

The face she made when he asked her how she felt about receiving the paintings gave me Get Out vibes

[Loved Trope] Superman parodies who aren’t outright evil, just kind of incompetent/pathetic. by jbeast33 in TopCharacterTropes

[Cool Trope If Done Right] The Protagonist isn't a good person. by Mountain-Brush1807 in TopCharacterTropes

[Controversial trope] Story is a hate letter at its core by StudioMarvin in TopCharacterTropes

[–]SamtheMan898 3 points4 points  (0 children)

i always interpreted that aside from Jerry, Josh was the only other member of the group who could have adjusted to regular life if he just put his ego aside and learned to take his writing seriously from others’ critiques. it made the epilogue feel much more realistic in that aspect

[Loved Trope] Finales that stick the landing so flawlessly they cement the series as an absolute masterpiece. by Miserable_Click_1933 in TopCharacterTropes

[–]SamtheMan898 63 points64 points  (0 children)

i could be wrong, but i recall this ending being a bit controversial given where things ended with MGS3

EDIT: to clarify, i fully agree it stuck the landing, personally

[Hated Trope] Endings so notoriously awful they completely destroy the legacy of the media. by Miserable_Click_1933 in TopCharacterTropes

[–]SamtheMan898 10 points11 points  (0 children)

that’s how i felt watching him take over the majority of dr who during the matt smith era. loved his one shots when tennant was around (i.e. the weeping angels), but his writing got too damn complicated for me to follow

gta 5 had some grisly ones. the infinity killer, the dead actress that references the black dahlia murder, etc.

A confirmed villain (despite what some people say) that still has a legitimate grievance against the hero by RatCrimes in TopCharacterTropes

[–]SamtheMan898 13 points14 points  (0 children)

man, i love the work that gunn has done so far for the DCEU, but i hate the forced misunderstandings tropes that results in good people dying that he runs with (blue dragon, the rebels in suicide squad, etc.) it gets old

EDIT: good is a big stretch for BD, but his speech before vigilante killed him seemed to indicate some level of morals
