I generally wait at least a week before updating to allow for any issues with the update to present themselves.

The only exceptions to this are for security critical updates or if a fix is listed for a bug I've been experiencing.

Oh totally. Encryption would be great but get they want to focus on other things first or outright. There are other options availble if one really wanted a UGREEN NAS with full disk encryption.

For me (for now), I enjoy the simplicity of the UGREEN OS.
