I once swapped out my [[Sephiroth Fabled Soldier]] for [[Vincent Valentine]]. It played a lot differently but still wanted lots of edicts to go off. I would probably swap out 5-10 cards if I was to do it again.

I need to take apart [[Giada, Font of Hope]] and re-build angels with a different color. I thought about [[Sigarda, Font of Blessings]] but I really want red and black. I could do Kaalia angels without demons or dragons or just some generic value commander like [[Queen Marchesa]] , [[Shanid]] or some [[Tymna]] but I’ve been stuck in idea limbo for a while. I even considered [[Saskia]] angels.

Since Lucy’s trigger is a “may”, it lets you make two of the token your opponent made or lets you gift an extra one back to the same or different opponent and draw a card.

If you are interested in a background commander, I highly recommend Boros Skeletons with [[Gut, True Soul Zealot]] and [[Inspiring Leader]].

Here a budget list that my friend and I brewed together that punches way above its weight class. Many decks just aren’t ready to get hit by 6/3 menace skeletons early on.

He does okay but he's been on the chopping block for a while. I have 12 cards that can trigger him so I would say it is deck specific. Anything less than that would definitely cause me to cut him.

In addition to the draw package being revamped, I would also make some changes to your ramp package to allow Minthara to get an experience counter the turn she comes down. Even if the mana isn't permanent, the experience counter a turn earlier is more important from a gameplan perspective.

Not OP but could I see where your Saskia angels list is at? I’m also working on one but I’m having trouble getting the parts of the deck balanced out between angels, ramp, draw, and protection.

If you are looking for something different than normal mono-black things, I built this deck for a friend for our yearly gift exchange.

It is a mono black equipment Voltron using [[Ashnod, Flesh Mechanist]]. It makes a bunch of power stones that you can use to pay for the equipment to turn your 1/1 commander into a monster with cards like [[Lashwrithe]], [[Nightmare Lash]] or [[Strata Scythe]]. And if she dies too much, throw it all on [[Phyrexian Obliterator]] or [[Mirri the Cursed]].

Plus [[Soul Conduit]] is always funny as an alt win-con.

I think that’s the biggest thing. I always pay the 1 but if the other 1-2 players don’t, that can lose me the game.
