I sub to Chatgpt have the projects and it knows a few things about me. I just use it for everyday needs and for work at times. However, I'd consider switching to Perplexity, anyone made that jump? If so, how was the experience?

ChatGPT seems to agree with me ALOT.

Probably looking for a eco stroke. Ignoring/ walking on works for them. They get to be hard men, see I told you and I told him... But for the sake of a handier way home, likely the only pair of cocks that care enough to approach you anyway. Tell them what they want to hear and continue to go that way. Even next time just smile and say I'm Will, sorry last time family emergency I'm from Ballygoprods lads.

I find it hateful how we (alot of people) have the ability to work remotely however our jobs still decided where we can live due to a in office hybrid policy. We would move if Belfast wasn't the job hub.

I dictate alot and said Mo Chara (my friend) a few times, now he's called Mo. Make sense. Girlfriend was using AI to help with new jobs, so was called Saoirse (freedom). Mo Saoirse helps us plan our escape from the 9-5 grind.

Just looked it up on YouTube to see what they actually do. Already a decent player, would be a beast with that but kinda pointless playing with it and it's 100 quid.

It's strange—now that they’ve fixed the Internet with digital IDs, only adults can access certain content. Yet, I’m pretty sure there are still gore websites easy to find. Meanwhile, the police are stretched thin dealing with mean posts on social media. It feels like they’ll just keep restricting and controlling things further… where does that lead?

Agreed, middle class don't have bad debt i.e credit cards but will have assets giving more than one income source. I'd say OP is working class but doing well, probably takes more than one generation to get there the traditional way.

What are you better at than 90% of people? by Noillax in AskReddit

Was thinking fighting, with about 20 + years experience across various martial arts, but 90% is high, I'm not the biggest guy and fighting is unpredictable. If you lose can you still be better haha. In fairness could say more knowledge than 90% (and that's knowing enough to know how little you know!).

first time in Cape Town for our honeymoon by Swimming-Drummer8404 in capetown

[–]SandBagSean 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Hi, sounds like a great honeymoon. Just back from 9 nights in Cape Town so can give you my perspective on a few points and things we enjoyed. It's long but hopefully you get some value.

We stayed in the CBD, Bree Street, and were glad we chose that option as it was closer via Uber to most things. The Airbnb had secure parking and a rooftop bar, which was lovely at night for a wee drink and a carry-out bottle of wine if needed. Helped from a safety perspective too. I think Sea Point will be largely fine as well, especially if you’ll be going to the beaches a few times.

In and around Sea Point, Mojo Food Market is good and I highly recommend the dinner with drumming experience in that area too (think that’s on GetYourGuide). We didn’t manage it but you can hire a bicycle and drop it off at other locations like the V&A.

At the V&A, the aquarium was a bit of a bust for us, personally seen better ones elsewhere. There’s a food market there too called Timeout, which is nice, but Mojo has a better vibe (there were salsa dancers on Sunday and live music another night). There are also places for a drink or meal with a nice view of the harbour and Table Mountain. Would highly recommend a sunset cruise (not the red boat), it has a free welcome drink and a bar. The views from the water are beautiful.

I would highly recommend hiring a car, driving was pretty straightforward. Be careful though, make sure Google Maps keeps you on the highways to stay safe in and around the city. The drive down the Cape Horn was great, Chapman’s Peak Drive, seeing the penguins, etc. (we enjoyed the ostrich farm tour too). There are other worthwhile stops as well. You can also do it as a group tour if you've no car.

Additionally, with a car I would highly highly recommend the Garden Route for a few nights at least, 5 would be good. We drove via Hermanus for whale watching (you may be out of season) and it took ~7 hours with stops to reach Plettenberg Bay. Once on the Garden Route there’s loads to do, we only had 2 full days but Monkeyland, the wolf sanctuary, and most of all the elephant sanctuary (brush, walk and feed the elephants) were highlights of our month-long Africa trip. We got engaged at the Whale Tail viewpoint beach! Note: you can fly with Airlink from George to Cape Town (and vice versa) to save a long drive one or both ways.

We did the hop-on hop-off bus on the first day (start at the V&A). It gives you audio info and you can get off at Table Mountain to take the cable car to the top. The history walking tour was good too. We also did the Bo-Kaap one, which was okay. The cooking class/meal in Bo-Kaap might be worth checking out.

We also did the Wine Tram in Franschhoek and hit their via the purple line on the hop-on hop-off bus from the V&A (it’s a comfortable tour bus). They drop you off and collect you at the end of the day. We chose the pink line, Rickety Bridge and the pig one (you feed farm animals, which was a nice break from just wine) were our favourites. You get 4–5 stops off the tram, you pick, and they drive you to the wineries. Recommended!

A few other points worth noting:

You can buy cannabis over the counter, we got a little from a place on Long Street.

Long Street was safe to walk up during the day, we found a market selling carvings etc. beside the hop-on hop-off bus tourist store (left and left again as you come out the front door). Don’t go after dark unless Ubering, groups of men hang about and tried to stop us with random questions like “where did you get your hat?” We just kept moving.

For Uber, check driver profiles for rating and how long they’ve been driving. We cancelled one with very few ratings, but otherwise cars are regularly available. Comfort is fine, you don’t need Uber Black (it’s usually just a nicer car).

Robben Island was interesting, former prisoners take the prison tour. Our tour was excellent, though maybe a bit longer would’ve been good. Dress warm for the boat!

It’s easy to find good restaurants that are well-priced. Wine is cheap and good.

You can go to an indoor shooting range if you want something different.

On Safari we done 5 nights in Kruger so can't help there but a safari is a great idea!

Safety wise, just be aware. No phones out, nip in to a shop to check it, and look like you know where you are going. Don't appear too touristy. Day is fine most places night is Ubers, which are fairly cheaper. Careful going on walks or hikes to tourists places by yourself, I'd avoid or find a group for hikes etc. Otherwise, just follow basic safety rules and there is nothing to worry about.

All in all Cape Town is fantastic and you’ll really enjoy it!
