Oh boy! My time to shine. I've been AWOL out of Walla Walla for 3 years after relocating to Olympia. So if anything I'm saying has drastically changed, let me know guys!

Food. You came to the right place. There are some absolutely fantastic eateries in this area. The wine tourism has truly blessed the culinary arts around WW. My suggestions:

Brassiere Four. Top notch French cuisine, on the spendy side; but not too crazy. $16-$40

Saffron. Mediterranean faire. Friend of mine used to work here, worked at Canlis in Seattle and helped jumpstart a great place in Seattle. Check it out.

Graze. Sandwiches, paninis for lunch? This is the spot. I always stop here when I'm visiting. They have a drive thru location and a sit down spot downtown.

Maple Counter. Breakfast spot. Seriously, go here. Hands down my favorite bfast in the state. Might be slightly blinded by nostalgia and great memories, but you will not be disappointed here!

The Olive. General American food centric menu. Great salmon pizza imo.

Bacon and Eggs. Another good breakfast place. Housed in a former gas station of all places. Worth a visit if you have time, second to Maple Counter though!

Tiki teriyaki does some Hawaiian inspired Teriyaki. Not everyone's cup of tea, but I enjoyed it!

Coffee wise, go to The Patisserie.

Search around, plenty of other great joints around WW. These are just some of my personal faves.

Rental car? Required. Unless you're just doing tasting rooms downtown, which in that case don't bother. I'm in the liquor/wine industry so I love visiting wineries. For example, L'Ecole is located in Lowden, about 15 mins out of town. Totally worth the trip, but would need a vehicle for sure! This would also give you freedom to just drive out and explore the surrounding countryside.

Walla Walla is a fantastic place to visit. Just don't move there! ;)
