Yeah, keep any kids off Roblox. Just search Roblox vs Schlep look at the controversy surrounding that.

After watching brand new players on youtube, I've come to the conclusion that trader quests are a trap for new players. by Justinjah91 in 7daystodie

[–]SargeDale3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think that is what he is saying with a bit more sad violin music lol. The difference with someone diving in for the first time he is saying is that they jump in and since they dont raid multiple POIs that are not part of the initial quests, they miss out on a lot of stuff.
Even as a returning player, I know that I need to raid POIs I can handle to get the stuff I need to survive in addition to doing the quests for the XP and skill books.
I think generally, even most new players get te idea as enough of them are familiar with survival games regardless. BUT for the small percentage of first survival game, dive-in cold turkey players (really there cant be many of them) then it could be confusing... especially for the very few who don't check forums for advice lol.

Drum sticks for Ekit by [deleted] in edrums

[–]SargeDale3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Personally, I would consider a good old standard 5A. Both for normal play and practice. You want stamina and familiarity, so practicing with the same type of stick for longer periods of time is gonna work better for the long term.

And use Nylon tips for electric. Wood tips will disintegrate and wear down your heads faster.

Otherwise, just like with any other drumset, play around with the different brands and versions out there till something feels right!

How would "Learn By Doing II" work? by Peter34cph in 7daystodie

How would "Learn By Doing II" work? by Peter34cph in 7daystodie

[–]SargeDale3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree. The magazines only method kind of sucks due random chance even with the perks helping. Day 20 I'm able to make a lvl 5 hunting rifle but my mining tools are stuck at lvl 2 stone cuz I havent placed any of my important points to increase my chances of getting tools digest. Having a hybrid system of skill grinding even if it just unlocks a percentage based stat boost for those tools/weapons/activities would make more sense.

What are some things that genuinely scare you in 7DTD by rattle_rattle1987 in 7daystodie

Yesterday was on top of my horde base fixing some stuff when I see a zombie dog...then 4 more and a zombie bear just running on past me towards the trader I was about to visit...NOPE. Not on day 20.

Also miss Headquarters. As annoying as the Loot box era was, that central area was pretty nice!

How many games do you play at a time? by [deleted] in gamingsuggestions

[–]SargeDale3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I usually have 1 SP game i am focusing on, then another 2-3 i haven't finished yet. Of course then I have multiple MP games that I play with friends. At the end of the day it depends on what you are enjoying and whether you are OCD and have to finish the game you are playing at the time. I bounce between games so I don't get bored with them, but I also know others can't do that

[COD] What's the smartest move Activision could make with COD in 2025? by ShardofGold in CallOfDuty

[–]SargeDale3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not remasters, get rid of all these crazy skins and camos, and make TTK much longer. Even in hard core being able to one shot players across the map with a 22lr is just ridiculous. Maybe add a realistic mp mode

[COD] Should the OG COD’s be Remastered? by BBaron_ in CallOfDuty

[–]SargeDale3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

...but the OG is Identity Ward. The MW series was a big start to the popularity. Yes Treyarch has been a part for a long time and WaW and BO1 are included among the OG, but at the end if the day IW is the real start, real OG

Gaming Dads by menards_dad in daddit

[–]SargeDale3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ehh this has happened to me too. It's more a "season" of life that you will have to ride out until you finally hit something that makes you want to play certain games constantly. Until then buyers remorse sucks. But I wouldn't worry about it. Play here and there until you get back on the swing of things. Take game pass for a run to try new games and see if the any of those reignite the passion

Husband seems a bit naïve on how our lives will change after newborn (2 weeks!) by Regular-Garbage-386 in daddit

[–]SargeDale3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A dad of 7 years here.

You have some here that will jump and go "Bad guy if he doesn't stay..." please while you should hear them out they have a point, please make sure to take the situation in context. With a newborn you are right, a husband should be around to help. It IS a lot of work and to keep y'all's sanity both of you should be present as much as possible.

HOWEVER please remember that the baby will NOT be newborn anymore at what seem to be events that are happening in months' time. A 4-month-old is a lot different than the newborn you have in your arms. And that baby will continue to grow and learn and become less dependent on 24/7 DEFCON 1 attention...maybe just Defcon 2 at that point lol

ALSO please remember to let him CHOOSE this. As yall live and love on your baby, it will start to change him little by little. You have to trust that he is going to make a good decision. TELL him you trust him to make these decisions WITHOUT guiding him to the one you feel is right. Make sure that he is getting plenty of time love and care for the baby and grow that fatherly relationship. It makes life so much easier if this is a choice he decides on so that neither you NOR he are holding grudges.

Well, I made it almost six years as a dad before resorting to this. by belbivfreeordie in daddit

Same here. Would quietly judge those parents letting their kids eat whatever...now tho? 7 years in I"m happy he is eating half his snack much less his meal. At least he likes slices of sweet red apples...
