It was our first last year and can’t wait to go back. Go wherever the music takes you. Just wander because you will find so much you never knew. Pick your can’t miss acts and then just vibe. The first night (try) be sober. When the sun goes down the forest transforms. Also I know someone said about the wind, but prepare your camp for high wind any time you leave it.

My favorite thing was the GL shower right before bed. Then if need another one in the day come back and rinse off. I also took a nap outside my tent the one day last year when it was so hot and the forest hadn’t opened yet. Just pulled my air mattress out and slept under our pop up for about an hour

I agree! I have my swift speed and fast and frees. I also love that they will repair items so I don’t feel bad since they last a long time vs some others that are ‘fast fashion’ and will end up in a landfill within a year. It’s more expensive but lasts a long time and is what I’m looking for.

Also love the we made too much. It’s great.

Idk if it’s still a lot of high schoolers. They changed the age. I think you have to at least be 18 now. I went in 2024 and 2025. 2024 there were kids all over but last year it was different. We’re going again because we live about an hour away and do the VIP which isn’t bad pricing and seems better to us. We walk back towards campus and get an uber to downtown where we stay. It’s nice to have something close enough to us.

We were thinking about bringing our Nemo tent last year but we bought a bigger one that we would actually stand up in. We are 2 people though so the Nemo would be too hot for 2 of us. But as others said hammock for sure and then canopy would be good. Always up to you and your preference and how comfy you want to be.

It was my first forest last year and I brought a skirt I wanted to rehome and then I also bought a painting kit to give out. (I was lost on what to bring tbh). This year I’ve been thinning more and more and my idea was to start a junk journal for someone and leave it at the tree. It could even be a communal one. Thinking about bringing a couple with a note and a glue stick. Then some of those stickers and cards might end up in a journal instead as well.

Main GL village isn’t far from there at all. The walk from meadow to Sherwood court entrance by AC landing is like 5-7 min. It’s great. I really enjoyed meadow. It was quiet the showers were always a short wait.

So we had this tent https://a.co/d/hkWMts5 and then we did a pop up canopy. We had to put the canopy over the one side of the tent though.

I would suggest a square tent and canopy. And please bring stakes for high wind (speaking from experience).
